I booked this lodge for my husband and his buddies. What a hidden gem. He said he wouldn't have changed anything about it. He enjoyed the wonderful meals , the atmosphere and the patrons 5 stars !

A beautiful Ryokan. We were welcomed with kindness and hospitality. They brought our luggage to the room, provided us with yukatas and offered amazing traditional food. The private baths were the highlight and we will miss them greatly. Highly recomend.

We have really enjoyed our stay in this ryokan. Staff were super helpful and considerate. We arrived late at night. There was someone waiting there to greet us, then showed us their onsen which was a heavenly experience after a long day. The bedroom is spacious and sealed with separate air conditioning, perfect for the hot July weather. There are extra bedding and pillows in the closet. There were balcony furnitures for relaxation. Owner's are incredibly nice. Rooms are very large and clean. Only place in Japan where I was allowed in the onsen with my tattoos

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Ko and his wife treated us like family. His English was excellent. The food and scenery were unforgettable.

I only had 2 nights in japan on a layover while travelling on business. I decided to squeeze in a day of skiing, see the snow monkeys, and dip in the region's famous hot springs and public baths. This is a wonderful place to stay. The room was beautiful and immaculate with traditional style and fine mountain views. The food was delicious and delicately presented with many small plates and courses of house made and local ingredients. The masseuse was an expert providing highly customized service...

There are two onsen baths; one inside and one outside. The water in the open bath makes your silk feel silky and smooth. The buffet breakfast and dinner are of good quality with many varieties. The night shows are good entertainment at the hotel. We had a relaxing stay at the hotel.

We stayed at this lovely traditional hotel for three nights. Even though the staff doesn’t speak much English, they make it up with wonderful hospitality. I told the staff to let my husband in at midnight because he’s on the last train, the front desk clerk told me there’s no more taxi service and offered to pick him up. That was almost midnight. When we checked out they also gave me a small gift bag for my birthday ❤️ Every day we can choose different traditional outfits for the hot springs....
