"This was our first ryokan experience and we couldn’t have been more impressed. The staff were fantastic, the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were incredible and our room, with a private Onsen, was stunning. The area around the hotel is so picturesque. We had a great time exploring the streets, in our provided yukata, trying all the public onsen. We will certainly be back to Shibu Onsen"

"It had an Onsen on sight which was nice. It’s a nice place and close to station. The beds are basically mattresses (futons) on the floor. This means very firm so for those who need more padding like my old body it can be a stiff night of sleep. Staff very friendly and for the money for 5 people it was great"
