![🌌Northern Lights over Tromsø - Tromsø - Troms - Norway🇳🇴

➡️A couple of weeks I wrote a caption explaining the Northern Lights from a scientific view👨‍🔬, now it is time for the legends surrounding this amazing spectacle:

📜According to one legend, Odin, the chief god and ruler of Asgard, lived in Valhalla, where he was preparing for Ragnarök. This event was predestined and would be Odin’s greatest battle⚔️, so he needed the bravest warriors at his side. During every battle on Earth, Odin would pick the warriors who would die and join him in Valhalla. The Valkiries👸 were female warriors on horseback. who wore armour and carried spears and shields🛡️, were tasked with leading Odin’s chosen warriors to Valhalla. The Vikings believed the Northern Lights🌌 illuminating the sky were the reflections of the Valkyrie’s armour🛡️ as they led the warrior to Odin.

📜In several other legends, they claim the Northern Lights🌌 were the breath of brave soldier who died in combat or they were believed to be the Bifrost Bridge🌈, a glowing, pulsing arch which led fallen warriors to the their final resting place in Valhalla.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦But for the Sámi people, the Northern Lights🌌 didn’t tell stories of heroism and bravery, they believed that they were the souls of the dead💀, and they were to be feared and respected in equal measure, so you shouldn’t talk🗣️ about them or even waving👋, whistling😗 or singing🎶 under them, as this would alert the lights to your presence and carry you up to the sky⬆️. Nowadays, many Sámi people stay in their homes🏠 when the Northern Lights are illuminating the sky🌌.

« L'évaluation porte sur les cabines. Les cabines sont confortables, récentes et propres avec un équipement pour faire du thé et du café. Il y a un sauna sec à disposition de tous les résidents. Sont mises à disposition des raquettes à neige mais avec un seul et unique chemin tracé depuis l'hôtel. En revanche il est assez difficile d'avoir accès aux autres équipements (gants, combinaisons etc...) si vous ne prenez pas les activités de l'hôtel en supplément. L'hôtel est également une zone...

« L’hôtel est très beau : l’igloo, la réception, le restaurant, les différents petits coins pour chiller au chaud près de la cheminée. C’est aussi chouette de se promener en chaussons dans l’hôtel. Par contre, la nourriture et le service sont médiocre et pas du tout à la hauteur du prix facturé et des prestations d’un hôtel 4 étoiles. 20€ une soupe sans pain ni rien. 30€ pour un burger sans trop de goût. 5€ pour un ramequin de chips malgré plusieurs cocktails et bières commandées pendant l’après...

« Staff very nice and helpful. Nice but very tint rooms. Lesrnt alot about local Life with owner. Much appreciated. Only problem is that is his hôtel came out when seatching for room in Nuargam Finland, but this hôtel is accross the border in Norway and we can’t know that with the city. Could of been a problem for the car rental. »

« Petite surprise. Pour la première fois je suis arrivé avec une voiture et j'ai découvert que le grand parking juste devant l'hôtel ne leur appartient pas, et qu'il est payant. Je n'ai pas regardé les détails concernant les heures, le parking derrière l'hôtel est payant de 10h00 à 20h00\. Pour le reste, accueil, chambre, petits déjeuners,etc...tout est parfait. »
