« We had a wonderful stay! Tyler was great - helped with places to eat, welcomed us and communicated throughout our stay. Room is soooo comfortable, with a table next to the window to look out over the ocean. Same view from the extraordinarily comfy bed. Super clean with lots of amenities. Great location too for walking to the water and nearby trails. Breakfast was one of the best I've had - poached egg on sourdough, pear with anise, oatmeal with blueberries and OJ. « This was our second day at Alder cottage, and we came back for a reason! It’s away from everything, beautiful views, we love to hear the sea lions barking, and the waves crashing. It’s a great homebase, and we went up to Oregon and then also around Redwood Park and so many beaches! On this trip we went to Gold Bluffs beach and were nearly the only people there. « Definitely a cottage! Fun setting. Peaceful and quiet out of the crowds. This rental is set up in the yard of a main home, essentially an on property guest cottage. Make sure you bring food with you or eat before you crash for the night. Closest food stuff was back towards town 10-15 minutes. We used Uber Eats for our meal. Which was fine for us, just wanted to be sure others were aware. »

« This place was great for my kids and myself. My 11 year old daughter picked this place. She loved it. We didn’t have WiFi or a shower but both of my daughters loved it. The highlight was seeing my 11 yo seeing a banana slug on the redwood tree from the window! Lots of close trail to hike too! The owner was quickly available as well. »
