Green Cottage

My son’s family enjoyed their stay at the Green Cottage - with close proximity to the larger rental, it allowed privacy but the opportunity to be with the rest of the family. We are looking forward to renting again - thank you for a great vacation!

Property was a perfect private spot… Very quiet and peaceful relaxing stay… It was very clean and I felt very relaxed and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I sleep like a baby 😊 I will definitely come back to stay again

Torch Lake Stay

Cabin was great - family also rented larger home nearby - so much of the time we were at the larger house. Nice accommodations and well kept. Looking forward to next year on the lake!

Nice vacation

I spent a week here with my two sons, sister, and dog. The house had everything we needed. The boys and dog loved the canoe. We had fun relaxing on the patio and swimming. The landscaping and setting was beautiful and the sound of the creek was very relaxing.

Highly recommend!

This was even better than expected! Beautiful sunsets! Right on the water. Hearing the waves lapping up on the shore while sitting on the deck was just so relaxing! Highly recommend this place to stay!

Cozy Cabin

Wonderful lakefront cabin. Very comfortable and had everything we needed, with a lot of extras! Everything was super clean. The shoreline is perfect with a little sand and then transitions to rocks. But they are smooth and pretty flat. The deck at the cabin was amazing. We spent so much by time sitting out there eating, reading,and playing cards

Escaping the Florida heat

Very clean property on great lot, beautiful lake with big deck for lakeside relaxing. This is a typical northern Michigan cottage and close to grocery stores and farmers markets. Hoping to rent again.

Great Cottage on Torch

Overall things were fine. Some things could use updating. In particular the heat system was extremely loud and made it difficult to sleep. Mind you we were there in October for fall colors. Mattresses could use a refresh too Host was awesome and I would consider renting again.

Well Kept Torch Lake Cottage

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. It was a bit cold this week in June, so we didn't spend much time down by the water. The heat worked well but the furnace is quite loud, so consider that if you are visiting during cooler months. The location is convenient to traveling into Bellaire for shopping and meals. Communication was great and the cottage was very clean and comfortable.

Perfect!

We stayed for the second time at this beautiful cottage. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun week at one of the most beautiful lakes ever. This time we brought our boat, which we moored. The mooring ball is in about 5' of water, so it's a short swim, but a secure place to keep the boat. We enjoyed all the place offers - canoe, fire pit, picnics on the lawn, coffee on the deck, sunsets on the dock. We hope to return yet again!

A disappointing 2nd visit

The outside of the property is lovely! Cottage interior needs updating. Back screen door broken, pull out sofa bed broken and non-functional, kitchen needs updating. Additionally, there was a miscommunication on their end which was handled poorly by the owner and caretaker. Very disappointed and won’t be staying here again.

Classic cottage

My partner, myself, and our 2 Frienchies stayed at the cottage the 3rd week of June 2024. We loved it!!! The weather was a bit mixed, and the lake was chilly. Beach is nice sloping sand and the grassy side yard was perfect for our dogs. The beds comfortable and listening to the creek as we were sleeping was soothing. The only wish list we had was not being able to dock a boat overnight. The cottage only has a mooring buoy. This end of Torch Lake is peaceful and quiet and about a 30 minute boat ride to the sandbar. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and are hoping to book again next year.

Lovely old school cottage.

This is a well-kept little cottage in a great location on the east side of Torch Lake. The lot is well-landscaped and lovely, with a great little side-yard on one side, and a babbling stream on the other. The exterior of the house appears relatively recently refreshed with what appears to be fresh paint, shutters, stone work, and decking. The inside is old school with wood paneling, linoleum, and formica. We really liked it, but for those who need an updated kitchen, etc., maybe not the best choice. The description says it sleeps 7, but that would be very tight.

Not what we were hoping for

Had an issue with one of the few amenities offered, the gas grill. Did not get a quick response and was not informed if it was ever fixed. Disappointing since all of our meals revolved around the grill.

Mid July

We stayed here for a week in mid July. The place is great in all aspects, clean and comfortable. Beautiful property. Everything we were hoping for. Our downfall was that the owners were in town while we were there, nice people, however they accessed the property multiple times during our stay, which is not something we expected. we'd round the corner in the yard and people would be unexpectedly accessing the garage...They also used "our" dock (which we did receive a heads up on a couple of the times, but not all) due to their hoist being broke down a few houses down. Unfortunately between the 2 it did disturb our peace a bit and made our stay seem less private so that was a bummer. Despite that, we would stay again.

Getaway

Property inside was outdated. Cabin had well water, which is fine and expected, except that it was rusty when you took the shower you smelled like rust had to buy bottled water to make tea and coffee. The screens were inefficient and let bugs in the house. Food in cabinets expired. Furnace sounded like a jet engine. Ceiling near the furnace had water damage and was painted over smelled like mold. Would have loved a lighter and fire starter for outside campfire. Overall outside deck and dock water access was wonderful. Friendly neighbors. Quiet and beautiful sunsets. Outside area well maintained. A few interior updates would make it perfect.

Quant-Clean-Great Views

This unit is in an excellent spot on Torch Lake. It is clean, beautifully landscaped, and perfectly positioned on the lake. We used the ceiling fans a lot as there is no AC but we really didn’t need it. We used mostly paper plates and throw away drink cups as there is no dishwasher. We took our own hand soaps for bathroom as we read they are not supplied. This unit is dated but adds to the charm. One bathroom and no ceiling exhaust - just know that ahead of time. We also took our own frying pan and coffee pot which we were happy about. Also there is no exhaust for kitchen cooking. We loved sitting outside on the deck in mornings and evenings and overlooked Torch Lake which was awesome. Our doggie really enjoyed his stay and swam every day. Overall this cottage provided us with what we wanted for a week on the lake. We would stay here again if just us two and doggie.

Our Stay!

We had a great time with family and our dogs at this property. Some things are dated, but everything seemed clean. The lake was beautiful and the landscaping was immaculate. There was plenty of firewood to enjoy the cold nights around the fire pit. However, the furnace is very loud and is hard to sleep at night with it running. We did not have any hand soap in the bathrooms and could not find any under the sinks. There was only one kitchen garbage bag provided. We had to make a trip into town to buy our own soap and bags. Overall, we loved it here and we will be back. Thank you for providing us with a great family memory!

Fall Getaway

The entire exterior was great. Beautiful deck, dock with a platform, grassy area well landscaped, etc. I would rate the exterior a 5. Due to cool temps and rainy weather, we didn't have a chance to enjoy the deck as much as we would have liked. The interior is clean but very dated. But we needed a puppy safe property and it met that need. Handsoap in the bathroom would have been nice, and the bedrooms could use curtains that close for privacy. (They have a valance only). Some of the bedding should be replaced. I grabbed a spare blanket out of the closet and was surprised to find it had many stains and was ripped badly. (It went right back in that closet!) The furnace was extremely LOUD! We wore coats inside just to minimize turning on the furnace...that's how loud it was. But with high temperatures in the mid 40's to mid 50's, it was freeze or turn on the furnace long enough to take the chill out of the air. If you want to rent in warmer weather and don't mind a very dated interior, I would recommend this property for it's great location and wonderful exterior options. I wouldn't recommend in cooler weather due to that furnace or if you prefer a more updated property.
