"This was the BEST place that we have rented in North Carolina. The main reason for our trip was to hopefully find a new home in the surrounding areas. From the moment we arrived and went inside we knew this was truly going to be the perfect place to come home to each day. First let me say that the house is not lacking in any area. From having a great selection of dinnerware, cooking items such as pots and pans and frying pans and baking dishes, serving platters and bowls, dishware ,I can go on and on. Plenty of towels and bath items. The view from the expansive back deck is literally mind blowing whether you are sitting out there in the morning with your first cup of coffee and all of a sudden the sky starts dancing with magnificent colors from the sunrise or in the evening when the sun starts setting. The location of the house is only a few minutes away from the local food markets and stores and it’s only a short drive to downtown. This was the most enjoyable yet relaxed vacation we have had in a while. I have to say that we did accomplish our goal of finding a new home while we were there, and even though Castway Cottage isn’t that far away from our future home we plan on going back for a recharge kind of vacation when we need it. "Room wasn’t overpriced and overall a very nice stay. Staff were super helpful and friendly, room was clean, and the breakfast was actually pretty good. 10/10. Will definitely recommend staying here. "

"There wasn’t a lake view from my room, but the view was definitely beautiful. My only complaint was that the shower got so cold SO quick. Literally less than five minutes. And the shower head was duct taped which just felt a little shifty. Other than that it was beautiful, quiet, and in a nice area. "

"Seemed new or newly refurbished. Clean to the point of the cleaning residue making the floor sticky. The bed was comfortable, and that's really what we look for, isn't it: a comfortable bed to sleep well in. Not all TV channels had audio and front desk couldn't help fix it; no TV guide to quickly find a channel or show."

"Clean quiet nice day friendly staff would stay again very close to the zoo. The zoo is amazing here and they’ll tell you all about it at the hotel. Well done guys."

"The rooms were pretty clean, check in was easy, air condition worked well. Had a working refrigerator and microwave. We did have to ask for the TV remote and wait 15 min. to get it. Then had to come back for a hair dryer later on. The room had a smoke detector hanging down from the ceiling, toilet that was not bolted securely to the floor and we had a weird noise that sounded like metal duct expanding in the wall about every 20 minutes. Had to wake up the guy to turn back in the blow dryer when checking out. No one was covering the front desk, no receipt or check out paperwork could be gotten. "
