Small’ish rooms for the price ($225 per night). No wardrobe, just a hanging rod. Rooms and public areas really hot. Very noisy on most nights from overnight conferences and people spilling into the parking and playing music and drinking booze. Rooms facing the parking got all the noise. One would think the hotel would ask them not to create a ruckus going into the early hours of the morning. Positives - staff are friendly, housekeeping is good, plenty of parking, close to town.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the room is in good size. We were unfortunatley didn't know it was the National Holiday and more than half of the popation was in Torshavn. we booked the two nights in a very very high price, but thank God we were given free breakfast. we could not drive to our restaurant or park in the center of the town. So we took a 3 minutes taxi (150DKK) to whereever we were allowed and walked. And then we walked back to the hotel dretched.

Friendly Faroe Stay
Sarah at front desk was extremely kind and was very informative & helpful. We enjoyed the view from our room & all features. We had dinner at the hotel for our 1st night, Jon was our server & he was delightful, compliments to the Chef food was incredible. Would come back in a heartbeat.

The rooms were very nice. Breakfast was yummy but the BEST part of the stay was the incredibly helpful front desk staff. They frequently provided excellent recommendations for things to see and places to eat. The hotel was within walking d I stance to town but theres also free bus just outshde the hotel.

This property is very clean, and the opportunity to do your laundry was a plus. I would have liked a breakfast to be included especially since this property is a bit pricey.

Good place but we went a few nights without dinner because they had some functions in the hotel and kitchen was closed. We could not use the resturant. No food for us. Big minus for the hotel

4 nights in Torshavn
Beautiful hotel on a somewhat busy street. With windows open, street noise was heard easily. Tried to "save" our towels by hanging them, but they were replaced each day, which is not very eco-friendly. Staff was super nice, food was good, and in line with the cost of other tourist-centered restaurants in Torshavn. It was a great location for day trips to nearby islands for day hikes and boat excursions.

Just returned home from 4 days on the Faroe Islands. The trip started a little rough, with my baggage not making the trip from Copenhagen. The staff at both the check-in and the restaurant were an incredible help, letting me borrow their phone charger so I could wait for a call from the airline. The staff was wonderful the entire time I was there-always saying hello, asking how I was, etc. Anything i needed was taken care of ASAP. Great location, comfortable room and the heated floors were something new to me-LOVED my stay here!

Great hotel
The hotel is very nice overall. We had the room view view to the front of the hotel to the ocean. The free parking is great, sometimes it is overcrowded since almost everyone rents a car. The spa consists of a dry sauna and a hot tube. It has a fix price of 500 kroner per hour for two people. I recommend to book in advance, since most people are back from day trips around the same time and want to use it. The breakfast is excellent with fresh fruits, different types of eggs and yogurts, a large variety of breads and rolls. The room is very spacious, excellent bath and bed. The lighting system could be a little better, either you turn on all the lights of the room or you have the bedside lamps on. But that’s a minor item and just for the record of the managers. We really recommend the hotel.

Great hotel, no bathroom privacy
Love the hotel and staff, but we hate hate hated the bathroom arrangement. There is not an actual bathroom. The sink is in the room and the shower and toilet are individual rooms with doors that do not allow for privacy. You can hear everything from the toilet. I was with my adult son, so we had to change clothes inside the shower. On the positive side, the vista from the view room was spectacular and really added to our trip. The hotel is clean and new. The food quality at breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Some of the sweetest fruit I have ever had; homemade baked goods. Free laundry and a small store both added a lot of convenience. Highly recommend only for travelers who are solo or do not care about the bathroom issue.

High quality stay, great base camp
The Hilton Garden Inn made an excellent base camp for exploring the islands. The hotel is in great shape, the rooms are very clean (servicing of rooms is on request at the moment due to COVID protocols-- just tell the front desk in the morning), and if you opt for the view, it is an unbelievable ceiling to floor overlook, complete with rolling green hills and sheep. The main part of town is an easy 20 minute walk, with sidewalks all the way. While it may not be as central to some touristy spots as some other options, I found the HGI's location to be an advantage for getting in and out by car since I did not have to navigate the "city" streets during day trips. We had a great meal in the hotel restaurant on a night we just wanted to stay in, and enjoyed night caps at the bar each evening. The staff even helped me to coordinate a ferry trip to Skuvoy when I was having trouble reaching the ferry operator. I typically gravitate more towards boutique hotels, but this HGI had a totally unique feel and the amenities and service were reliable and welcome after being on the road for a while. I recommend!

Clean room and friendly hotel staff
The hotel has a beautiful view of Tórshavn and there is plenty of free parking space if you decide to rent a car. The room was in great condition, furnishings were new and well-kept. The cleaning was great too. By far the best part of my stay was the hotel staff. They were welcoming, smiling and happy to provide advice for day trips etc. I highly recommend staying here.
