Location was excellent with free on street parking.
Hotel needs fresh air running through it and the cleaners could do a little better

Great location for the South Coast Path. Bus stop to Torquay and Shaldon 3 minutes walk away. Very helpful staff. Room basic but clean with tea and coffee. Main village and cliff top with pubs a five minute walk. Easy to park in side streets even in August.
Clean room but bathroom could do with an update. Staff were really friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was no parking, it's a free for all on the road and we had to park in the next road! Apart from that it was great 👍

Obviously for £40 a night I wasn't expecting much . Double bed was great. The room big enough.
Great shower . Nice size TV in room.
Could hear talking though from room below even with fan on and white noise from mobile.
You do hear doors banging late at and early in the morning.
Worth staying if you on a budget.
Didn't try the food but looked good .
Cheap hotel, un comfy bed but not the worst I’ve slept on. Room small bathroom like an airplane toilet. Peeling paint, food looked good but we ate out. Entertainment was cheesy fun. BR drinks quite pricey. Parking terrible but we got lucky. Strange people hanging around i think seasonal staff maybe.

Staff were amazing lady on front desk was brilliant barman really nice
Didn't use dinning room but food looks good
Room needs a little more care found items from previous guests left
Also don't replenish items have to go and ask at reception for any extra
No onside parking did manage to park in the street and as we used the local buses wasn't an issue but high summer maybe isn't great
Evening entertainment every night was a bonus bar prices reasonable
We were in a more modern but still old part of the hotel. So it wasn't in absolutely top condition, but it was extremely affordable for us and very comfortable. Being older, it had very large windows (at least the room we were in, which was almost a corner room so had windows over more than one aspect). The hotel is very friendly and clean, and we enjoyed out stay.
We noticed live entertainment each evening, but we had been active during the day and didn't sit in, but the acts sounded pretty good.
Because there were coach tours during our stay, most evenings we had to park on the street. We never had any problem finding a park and the roads there are quiet.
If you are needing to use a bus, there is a bus stop very close. This is the bus that takes you to Teignmouth and beyond, many all the way to Exeter.
Overall we certainly will return if we are unable to use our normal Teignmouth accommodation.
Room was clean and well prepared. Staff were helpful and food was available in the hotel. Only complaint were coaches parked immediately outside bedroom window made room very dark and noisy and smelly exhausts whilst coaches were warming up for up to 30 minutes in the mornings sometimes at 6.00 am
Staff was happy and welcoming when arrived but unfortunately the guy on desk when we left was not as friendly. Room was nice size and clean.was very disappointed with the choice of breakfast and tea choice i would not be happy to pay for what was on offer no one ask if there was anything whe would like as i can't eat fried eggs and mushroom would be nice othere then that it was a nice hotel and would stay again plus great entertainment was a bonus
We have stayed at the Trecarn several times. The staff are always very polite and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Paying extra for the executive room this time was more than worth it. It is what we will be doing in future. The only minor criticism is that the Wi-Fi reception in the room is virtually none existent, which combined with the poor cell reception in the area meant you had to go near reception if you needed to use your phone. If not for this minor inconvenience it would have been 5 stars instead of 4 stars.
