The owners were fab with regard me having a well behave 12 week old pup, as let down by the kennel , their own dog was sociable, the breakfast was good , and the housekeeping was also excellent. Good value for money .

Perfect Stay
A brilliant time in a really friendly atmosphere and comfortable environment. Great hosts, Paul & Julia and lovely dog, Bella. Perfect for guests with and without dogs. Very peaceful and quiet, immaculately clean and a fantastic breakfast with a huge range of choice and generous portions too. The hosts were flexible with my check out time too which was really welcome and kind. I really enjoyed myself and would love to come back again.

Great Place To Stay
A lovely hotel situated 15 mins walk from the beach. The host was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. She was a very friendly and eager to help. The rooms were a good size and spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and comfortable. Breakfast was made to order, so was always hot,fresh and hearty. I would definitely recommend it!

ust returned home from a very enjoyable 5 nights at Garway Lodge which is situated within walking distance of the town, beach and marina. Paul & Julia are great hosts who could not be more friendly, helpful and attentive. Stayed in the Chocolate Room which was quiet, and has a very comfortable bed, small sofa, TV, with tea, coffee & biscuits provided and also a very small fridge. There is a small en-suite & shower, but it's more than adequate for purpose with full toiletries provided. There was a lovely full English breakfast available every morning with all the trimmings, cereal, juices, fruit etc. and all served very promptly. Bella the dog is a real cutie who even my wife who is slightly scared of dogs fell in love with by the end of the stay. Would return.

the perfect B&B to stay at
the hosts were wonderful, i'd definitely stay here again as I was only there for 1 day in Torquay and didn't get to experience the area. Everything in the room and B&B was explained, maps and brochures and taxi information was provided should I have required it. Would definitely recommend this establishment to others to stay at. Was around a 20 minute walk to the waterfront and not hard to get to at all. Enjoyed the scenery on my way there walking. Lovely city to visit and the weather was beautiful and sunny with a light breeze.

We were greeted with genuine warmth and kindness. Offered a hot drink as we checked in with a surprise plate of little cakes and biscuits, great touch. They had a safe place for storing our bicycles overnight, really good and so helpful. Bella the dog was amazing, so cute and happy. Room was ace. Spacious, clean and well equipped. Even a mini fridge! Thank you to our hosts, lovely people.

I / we, have stayed in the numerous bed and breakfast / guest house accommodations especially the last few years for short stays and me for work. For me especially in Devon. This is probably the best I have ever used. No, it is not the most modern and swanky but that is not what I want. I want something that is spotlessly clean, comfy beds, plenty of storage space, a good shower large enough to use, clean and fluffy towels, decent Wi Fi, good breakfast and a host prepared to go the extra mile. This place had this in spades (forgive the Torquay pun) and more. Easy to find it has off road parking and plenty on on street parking directly outside. It is a couple of minutes drive from the sea front and a 10 minute walk. On arrival our host met us with a smile and a resl homely welcome. Taken to the breakfast room we were offered tea and coffee and after the drive and every piece of information we coukd want including a local street map showing the routes and short cuts to town, beach and local eateries etc. This was very helpful. Taken to our room we were shown everything including how to use the flat screen TV and DVD (not in all places as easy as it seems.)The free Wi Fi was instantly good and remained so and we noted in the guests book in the room they even offer free transfer to the local train station. The room was larger than we expected with tons of storage space, plenty of hangers and a really really good choice of biscuits, tea, coffee (yes including decaff teas) hot choc

Lovely stay
We received a friendly welcome, with a cup of tea and cake. We had a lovely room on the ground floor, with plenty of tea and coffee in the room. It was only a 15 mins walk into the centre of Torquay and the harbour.. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Place To Stay
A very friendly welcome from Julia on arrival with cake biscuits and tea offered and suggestions for places to visit and where to eat in town. A small but very comfortable single room which was perfect for my stay and a wonderful choice for breakfast in the morning. The town is about a 20 min. walk away. All in all a great place to stay and would use again when in the area.

Business overnight stop
I was welcomed very quickly and made a cup of coffee and choice of biscuits. After filling in my reservation card and briefed on facilities and local places to eat I was taken to my room. Again shown all facilities within the room I felt very comfortable with my room.

A Great Value Single Room
I came to attend a football match which was cancelled but the blow was softened by a great stay. A warm ,comfortable room. I had a great breakfast served by friendly and knowledgeable owners. I will be back.

Garway Lodge is a top rated Guest House

Nothing was too much trouble, Julia and Paul are fantastic and made me very welcome. Lovely comfortable beds. Not far to the sea front where there is lots that you can do . I would recommend this lodge for any single and would defiantly go back.

The owner, Julia, did her best to make my wife and I welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and her attention to detail for breakfast, the guest house and our room were exceptionally high.A great place to stay and with the quality of service supplied, we can certainly recommend Garway Lodge, Torquay.

Overall stay was very good. Location is not good if you don,t like walking. Saying that it is a lovely walk on a sunny day. Iris a flat walk one way. The bedroom were fabulous as was the breakfast. Maybe a little less attention during breakfast would have been good.

4月に2泊しました。 この地域は厳しいアップダウンが多い地形なので、ホテルまで徒歩で行きたいのであれば駅近のホテルを選ぶのが良いです。Torre、Torquayのいずれの駅近辺も辛い坂しかないです。そんなことからもこのホテルはオススメです。 基本的には親切丁寧で明るい女将さんが対応してくれます。良い意味でお節介な「母ちゃん」って感じの女将さんです。英語をあまり話せない私に対しては、賢いメカ「アレクサ」を連れてきて通訳してもらいました。メカ通な女将さんです。世界中の英語を話せない人も問題なく泊まれると思います。 チェックイン時にTorquayの名所をいろいろ教えてもらったおかげで、当初の旅行プランではなかった観光地やお食事処にも行けて大変充実した滞在になったので、本当に良かったです。 建物全体が新しいわけではないですが、よく手入れされていますし、客室の細かいところまで気を遣っているので、気持ちよく滞在できました。 朝食は希望に応じてもらえてメニューも充実しています。 看板犬も可愛いです。Wi-Fiは全く問題ありませんでした。 チェックアウト後、私は最寄のTorre駅から電車に乗ろうと思っていたのですが、Newton Abbot方面へ行くには駅のブリッジを渡らなければいけない（大荷物だと大変）とのことを忠告してくれて、私がまだ電車のチケットを買っていないことを確認してくれた上で、Torquay駅から電車に乗るとブリッジを渡らなくて良いから駅まで送って行くよと、旦那さんの車でTorquay駅まで送ってくれました。私は大荷物でしたし、厳しいアップダウンの多い地域なのでなおのこと、車で送ってもらえて大変ありがたかったです。 料金がお手頃なのに、こんなにしてもらって良いのかなと思ってしまうほど良かったです。
