I had an appointment at Sunnybrook hospital. This hotel was convenient and I have stayed here in the past. Room was clean and tidy. It did not have a microwave or mini fridge. Tim Hortons is in walking distance. Staff were courteous.

Great Hotel for an Overnight

Posted 15-Jan-2017
Pros: Large rooms, comfortable beds, cleanliness and proximity to hospital.
Cons: Pillows and mini fridge...maybe microwave.
Location: Well located, easy to get to ...right off the Don Valley!! Lots to do with Science Centre and attractions nearby. Good for families I would think.
Chosen because of it's proximity to Toronto East General Hospital, it was the perfect solution. Staff was very accommodating, rooms were clean and fairly well appointed. Would have been nice to have a mini-fridge in the room but that was not a major issue. Being winter we did not have an opportunity to use the pool facilities but they looked very inviting for summer stays. I understand renovations have been ongoing for some time.

Great location.

Smooth check in. Clean, tidy room if a little dated. Very plush towels ☺ Didn't use/tour amenities so can't comment but reception was modern and spotless.

Comfortable

Posted 13-Jan-2017
Convenient to this area of town. Not a lot of other choices. To get a decent room you have to go with their deluxe, which is a bit of hyperbole. The standard rooms are horrible. Food was quite disappointing but maybe that was my fault. I find like a lot of places in Canada they like to bury any proteins under mountains of cheese and bread. Booking on expedia was not fun. After I booked hotel, the price dropped. I had to cancel and rebook .

Disappointing stay

Posted 10-Jan-2017
Pros: Clean room.
Cons: Everything I mentioned above.
The room was clean and pleasant. However it was virtually impossible to control the temperature. It was either too hot or too cold. No way to get it comfortable. In the morning it took forever for the water to be hot in the shower. I finally had to take a lukewarm shower. I then let the water run about 10 minutes and only then was my wife able to take a hot shower. The buffet breakfast was VERY mediocre. $13 for not much to choose from. And there was no grapefruit juice to be had. When I went to the lobby to share my concerns, there was no one to be found at reception.

Very nice hotel.

Cons: A shuttle bus service to downtown Toronto would be excellent. Public transport is not straight forward and a taxi ride is expensive.
Very happy with my three night stay at this hotel. Clean, comfortable, mostly friendly staff. Tasty pizza from the bistro.
