I hardly spent anytime at the hotel besides resting and washing up. The area is convenient with supermarkets and restaurants/cafes. Where-as in another city I stayed on the 8th floor, and it was noisier because the street - a nice distance to Ueno park, and maybe 200m from Yanka Ginza shopping street. The moment I walked into my “non smoking” room, it smelt like smoke and must, that also includes the initial walk into the hotel. The room was so filthy(fridge had mold and gunk all over it, carpet was stained and not vacuumed, and the smell was of old cigarettes). I immediately asked for a refund and left for a hotel in Yokohama. If all Hotel “Live Max’s” are like this then ooooof. Check in was easy, key was easy to use. Overall the room was pretty disappointing. The carpet smelled moldy, and when we turned the AC on it was very musty spelling. There were loud guests at 1 am that woke us up. The bed is pretty stiff and the fan in the bathroom doesn’t work well. But I liked the volume of the pillows, and I liked how the fridge actually works, the room came with two glasses in the fridge for drinks and a microwave. Didn’t come with womens amenities so I was disappointed. There was only one amenity and towel set so we had to ask the front for another one even though I checked in with another person.
