We were on a tour of locations from the Inspector Montalbano TV Series. Ragusa was a southern Sicilian location we chose to visit and stay at overnight. 

Perched on a hill with deep valleys on three sides separating it from the adjacent plateau, it makes for a beautiful location which can be seen entirely from the upper town.
