We took a four hour tour on a private boat and had a great time. The views are incredible as you pass rice fields, tiny villages on dikes, and endless coconut trees. It is unlike anything else I did while in India or anywhere else in the world for that matter. It is worth it to go to Kerala just to do one of these tours! You can even do multiple day trips on the popular houseboats.
