Boasting five bedrooms, serene ridge views, and lots of sumptuous living spaces, everyone will have plenty of space to spread out and truly relax. And for a dinner out or a fun afternoon in town, the village core is close by, as is the gondola to whisk you into Telluride. Finished in reclaimed wood, rustic stone, and vaulted ceilings, the GREAT ROOM looks out over stunning San Sophia vistas. A comfy leather sectional and upholstered armchairs sit on an elegant oriental rug and face the cozy stone fireplace and HDTV, while overhead an elegant chandelier warms and illuminates the entire space. This is a fantastic room to host a relaxing happy hour or to curl up with a good book and cup of cocoa after a day on the trails. Featuring granite countertops and lots of natural wood cabinet space, the spacious KITCHEN even includes a separate deck space. The suite of state-of-the-art Viking appliances includes a gas range top, double refrigerator, and wall ovens. There’s even a premier Miele espresso machine and drip coffee maker for brewing the perfect cup of morning java. The adjacent DINING ROOM has seating for eight, a stunning pillar candle chandelier, a fireplace, and a seating area. Meanwhile, outside on the partially covered TERRACE, there’s a barbecue for grilling out and another comfy seating area. In the PRIMARY BEDROOM SUITE, a luxe king-size bed sits underneath vaulted ceilings. There’s also a private BALCONY, and full ENSUITE BATHROOM with a glass shower and separate soaking tub. The second and third GUEST BEDROOMS share a FULL BATHROOM, and each has a king-size bed and a queen-size bed respectively. A fourth BEDROOM SUITE houses a queen-size bed and includes an ATTACHED PRIVATE BATHROOM. The final bedroom is a BUNK ROOM— with four single-size beds and four full-size beds, with a FULL BATHROOM just outside the door. So many extra spaces truly place Alpenglow over the top in terms of comfort and convenience. However, we were awakened at 2am in the morning the first night with a low battery chime on the smoke detector. Also, we had a few leaky water lines in the bathrooms that needed to be fixed. For such a large house the refrigerator was not big enough for us and the ice maker really didn't work well enough to use it. Had to buy ice several times. We had problems with all of the appliances. We could not get the vent for the stove to work, the dishwasher took a very long time to cycle, and one of the coffee pots did not work. ##### Kevin J. The bunk room is great for a large number of kids. Wrokout room is so cool and the spa was maintained twice while we were there so it's clean. The home has an amazing sound system in EVERY room of the house but be advised that the interface to it (to play your own music) is the old Apple iPhone adapter so you might want to bring an adapter! Also, no A/C at this property and many of the windows do not have screens so it can get warm upstairs since you can't really open them all up (mosquitos in the area). By day 2 you should be good if you can keep them all open overnight. Overall, this was a great place and I highly recommend it. ##### Bill B. It was an easy 2 minute walk to ski in and out. The showers have steam rooms which were so nice after a day of skiing and the hot tub was an added plus.
