It took us only about 2 - 3 mins to walk there. The hotel is of higher standards than the ones around. Good for families as well as they have a special area (next to hotel's reception) just to welcome guests with free snacks and drinks. There are also various types of games for kids to play. However, access to other parts of Taichung is not as easy, unless you take cab or bus. Staff are friendly, making the stay very pleasant. However, some of the furnishing requires upkeeping as signs of age are showing, eg knock marks all over the table top and stain marks on toilet tiles even though they are dark coloured tiles. It's near the famous Fengjia Night Market and there's a nearby Laundromat as well. Gym wasn't the best but if you know how to adjust your workout you're fine!
