"Was very tranquil. During our stay very hot, we were offered air conditioning which we declined as meant more to pay and we were on a budget. I didn't realise towels not included, I don't think web site made it clear. Facilities good but shower very small for my husband who is disabled. Lovely location very convenient for site seeing and shopping."

"We all enjoyed our stay at the Les Tramois. The cottage is really charming and is set in a beautiful location. There are horses, a donkey, peacocks, fish, hens… Our children loved interacting with the animals, jumping into a huge paddling pool as well as doing archery and bouncing on a trampoline. Lots to do for the young! There is a nice woody walk and a well equipped charcoal bbq. Fabien is a wonderful unobtrusive but very helpful host. Thank you for having us!"

"The on-site manager clearly goes all out to make this location perfect. It is spacious, modern and clean. The kitchen is well appointed and the laundry room is a big plus. A few minutes from Vezelay by car, the area is pastoral. What a find!"

"A traditional French rural property whose owners have retained its rustic charm and its sense of an historic past. That said, it is more than a comfortable getaway. Equipped for social gatherings, with ample gardens the mill is situated in beautiful countryside. If you want easy access to the bustle of town and city life, it's not for you. If you want leisurely days, meandering through the local countryside, local villages and peace and quiet, this is the place to go."

"Off the tourist track but with a few places for nice visits. In hot weather pool v good for children. Quirky property on outskirts of nice small town with all necessary shops. Significant road noise in main bedrooms but sofa beds in quiet air conditioned living room. Very spacious house and garden. Owner was very attentive. "Warm cosy and comfortable property with 'character' and in a good location for visiting Vézelay and area. Renovated and modernised inside to a good standard, with pleasant outdoor seating areas. Bring your own teapot if you need one! A useful bread van comes 3 times a week with baguettes. Nearest village shops (in St Père) are about a 10 minute drive. Neither our 'school' French nor the owners' English was good so the booking process via the web site emails wasn't easy. The whole booking process...

The owner made many thoughtful changes when they renovated the house - lights that turn on and off automatically , well appointed and stocked kitchen , comfortable bedding , clean bathrooms , great shower pressure and plumbing , excellent doors and windows - the list goes on and on . "The chalet was very nice situated, in the middle if nature and at a short distance from Avallon, Vezelay and the caves. The chalet was simple but clean en very well heated, it was October so that was a nice luxury."
