Accessible by train from Miyazaki City, the surrounding area has an old town feel and specializes in local seafood. Ocean view rooms let you gaze at the surfers catching waves. "New and modern hotel. Clean rooms, nice staff. The onsen was really a very good surprise. We loved it. We loved all the little extras offered by the hotel. Close to restaurants and some shopping. Not much to do in Miyazaki unless you’re a golfer ( or surfer). We stopped to visit the shrine and Heiwadai park ( and the Haniwa sculptures)."
