The lodge is spacious, modern, full functional with everything you need for a holiday. The location is perfect for the Cotswolds as a base and painswick is a lovely quiet village with pubs and a small store. We would recommend this location but it is very hilly so you either have to be able to walk or drive a car. Cottage itself is very homely and decorated thoughtfully, with some lovely touches such as milk, juice, fruit and cookies on arrival. Clean, tidy and a nice cottage feel. Has all the amenities you would expect to find. Great collection of guides books and literature in the cottage offering suggestions on the local area, which I found helpful. Location wise, Painswick itself has a couple of nice places to eat if you didn't wish to drive. we were touring multiple villages in the Cotswolds for 3 nights so you would need a car to ensure you don't miss the best towns and villages.
