« I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville. »

« We were just a group of adults but I assume kids would well here. There is lovely patio/balcony off the living that was delightful although the mornings were a bit to crisp for coffee on the balcony but we ate lunches around the table. The house would accommodate a large number of guests. There are bedrooms off bedrooms which wouldn’t bother us. The kitchen was well equipped. Check in and check out was a breeze. We were there for a wedding and showed the place to friends looking for places...

The host has good communication and was willing to accommodate our dog that recently got hurt right before our trip and our child whom we had to take our trip. « Location is beautiful (the stars are amazing!) and the house is absolutely wonderful. It has everything you need and the vibe is very relaxing and welcoming. We made use of the projector for movie nights which was super fun. One heads up - the master bedroom does not have any curtains, so I recommend eye masks for sleeping! « Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. « I just stayed for one night- visiting family. The family was friendly and also gave me space. My favorite thing was the pond, with many koi fish. My area included a bedroom , bathroom with sauna, and a rec room with a giant tv, treadmill, ping pong table and fooz ball table. The bed was very comfortable and the night was peaceful. I would visit again. »
