"This was my second stay at the Lairgate. I was so impressed by the accommodation on my first visit that recommended it highly. My second stay was a little disappointing. On arrival, everything was excellent but on the second day, housekeeping was not up to acceptable standards. Bins weren’t emptied, crockery was left with tea stains and tea and coffee making items were not adequately replenished. This wouldn’t have been so surprising if our original experience hadn’t been so good. "

"David was an excellent host, and the cottage was a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable accommodation close to local amenities and a lovely canal to walk down with pooch right outside the door. Although there is no designated parking, street parking is a 10 second walk away, so this wasn't an issue. There was even a guitar on the wall to have a relaxing noodle. Thanks again David"

"Comfy bed. Heating unable to be controllef by guest. Room 12 was cold during night. Came on at 8am just as going out for breakfast. Stayed in better YHA for the money"

"Had a brilliant family break. It was our Sons 40th Birthday, and he was only expecting his partner and children, but it was a surprise family holiday. The owner Ted and his lovely wife Jan put up banners and balloons all over the barn, ready for our arrival. This was a wonderful thought by them and was really appreciated by us all.Would recommend any family to stay here. Every room was spotless and all beds were comfortable and the hot tub was a real bonus."
