Clearwater 12 Motel

"This is an older property, but it was well maintained considering its age. That said, the property and rooms are definitely outdated, and the smell in the room was not very pleasant. I’m not sure if the carpets had recently been cleaned or if they were using some type of deodorizer, but there was a strong odor that seemed intended to make the room smell fresh. The breakfast was okay. Overall, this is a good option for the price. If you’re looking for a more modern, updated property, you’ll likely need to pay more. As the saying goes, “you get what you pay for,” and in this case, we felt we received a fair value for the price."

"This is a small rural property set off of Hwy 12 and the Clearwater River. There is no access to the river but one can walk along the road and enjoy the view. There rooms are clean and the staff helpful. It has a homey quiet feel."

"This is the best stocked and cleanest vacation rental I have ever stayed in. The beds, linens and pillows are wonderful! The pond attracts a variety of birds and has lots of frogs for kids to enjoy hearing them squeek before jumping in the water when startled. I would go back there in a heart beat."

"Had a problem with door code that was not the owners fault. She and Vrbo fairly quickly got it straightened out. We were traveling on utv’s over the old wagon road from elk city. One of our machines had a breakdown just before we got to our room. Host was nice enough to let us park machine there until we could retrieve it, and offered us a free nights stay! You can’t find people like that much anymore.!"

"We had an amazing stay greeted every morning and every evening with deer in the yard beautiful views close to fishing in the rivers. The hosts were incredible and accommodating. The home was extremely comfortable."

"We held our family reunion at this property. There was so much to do on site, at the lodge and with surrounding property. The children loved it. So did the adults. It was delightful to meet the owners and prepare for our family reunion. They were helpful and easy to communicate with. We had a water day on the Clearwater River at the lovely Smith Creek Beach and it was so much fun. We had life jackets for everyone and enjoyed a short float, playing in the sand, and bbqing hotdogs. There is a fishing pond on property with paddleboats and small kayaks. This was a popular draw for the children. There is also a zipline and equipment for all kinds of outdoor ball games. We held a successful reunion and made incredible memories."
