This was a great house for exploring Red River Gorge and the hikes in the area. The house was very clean and the pool was an added bonus for the kids when we came back from days activities. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms great and comfortable. For me the only minor downside was that the pictures don’t show it’s actually located along a relatively busy road which I could hear in the mornings from the bedroom BUT it was a minor point that only I really noticed of the 4 adults.Bens communication was very prompt and helpful. The house was super spacious, quite quirky in layout and decor. Kids really enjoyed the foosball table and of course the pool. Note, the (warm, huge and clean) pool is in a building separate from the house. Not inconvenient at all, but you do have to go outside to get there. The property has multiple fenced in segments for dogs, which is awesome, but there are also two dogs that live next-door who cruise one of the fences. Those dogs do not have any contact with another fenced segment that leads to the pool do that worked great and this is a lovely space with a firepit and some charm.We did some hiking in the nearby gorge, which was worth a short drive. Not too many non-fast food places to eat in the area, but lots of good grocery stores extremely close by.Thanks for hosting us! ##### Lrb R. Our group consisted of one couple and the others were singles but this would be great to accommodate 2 couples and their kids as well. The bed was very comfortable. The indoor pool was great! Everything was clean and well stocked although we did bring some additional appliances with us. The owner was very responsive. There is a busy road you could sometimes hear road noise, but it still seemed fairly quiet and secluded in the back yard space near the fire pit. About the only thing I wished it had was a hot tub, being fall when we were there. Especially after so much hiking and other activities we did. This house has everything you could need on a vacation. The house is spacious. The bedrooms had plenty of room and the beds were very comfy. There is a game room area where my kids could’ve stayed for hours. And the pool is huge! It was so nice to have a pool all to ourselves! While a few things in the house and pool area could use updates or repairs, we have no complaints! It was a much needed quality family getaway! ##### Heather V. We chose this location to have access to the red river gorge and its amenities. It’s a short drive to Slade and the gorge so that worked perfect. Plenty of space for the 8 of us, and the pool was icing on the cake. Somehow the pool house was not super hot on the 97 degree we arrived, and a dip in the pool was just what we needed to beat the heat. Then it stormed the next day, we were still able to swim because it was under roof. Host was very accommodating and back and forth communication was top notch. Thank you again! ##### Michael F. This year happens to be here. What a fabulous place to go to! Great home with all the relaxation we needed! The beds were comfy, pool was fabulous and the home was in a great neighborhood close to all the hiking and exploring we picked to do. The owners were always quick to respond to all questions and easy to work with us on our last min adding a day. Beautiful home!! We greatly enjoyed our stay. ##### Teresa B.
