"Great for a quick airport stop. Super convenient location with a shuttle every 30min and early breakfast from 4am which is ideal for early flights. Staff were lovely and the room was clean. Only downside: I was told there would be a takeaway breakfast, but it was basically just fruit."

"Comfortable overnight stay before an early morning flight. Granted accessible room as requested. Prompt check in and out. The only let down was the lack of gluten free options on the menu in the restaurant for our evening meal. It took 3 staff for me to explain my dietary needs for coeliac disease before finally being offered an adapted chicken dinner."

"Tricky to find. No indication that you park in the main carpark and walk to it. Annoyed that I had to pay a £5 parking charge because I hadn’t booked direct. Room ok but the USB ports didn’t work. Restaurant poor. Slow service and not that warm. Steak, which was meant to be medium was as tough as old boots. "

"We booked this hotel primarily because the website said they offered a shuttle to and from the airport - A ”rare find for the area”. We could not find the pick up location on arrival and took a bus instead. Upon check in at the hotel they informed us they no longer have a shuttle. We had to pay extra for the bus and taxi to get to and from the hotel. Our flight was early on a Sunday so limited bus options and Uber was 3x higher than normal day time hours. Very misleading and disappointing. Also very limited restaurants in the area."

"The Gem is a pleasant place to stay but has a few drawbacks. The is no on site parking which is unfortunate, they don't have aircon but the main problem for me was when I tried to checkout at 7.20am there was no receptionist and I couldn't access the main building to drop off my keys. They should have a box outside for guests to drop their keys when they wish to leave early."

"I am sorry to leave a bad review but was pretty bad. In the bathroom cabinets it was filthy and there was an empty wine bottle, when I mentioned this to the receptionist she didn’t answer!? Only one pillow each provided. The “dining” area reminded me of The Shining!!! In the corridor leading to the rooms there was an old microwave weirdly which can’t be right!!! The whole place needs a serious makeover it’s outdated."
