It is very central for visits to places around the island.The apartment is quite spacious and comfortable. The shared washing machine was not spinning the clothes and once reported management attended to it promptly offering us and other guests free washing service until the machine could be fixed. If you know you will have heavy luggage I would suggest you ask for a downstairs apartment at the time of your booking. It is spacious with everything you need for self catering. The information given in the folder was clear and concise. Communication with the manager was easy and the response to a query was rapid. The property does look quite tired in places, especially decoratively, and the entrance hall is not very welcoming. However it has everything you need, is quite quiet usually and everything works. Apartment is well equiped for a self catering holiday although a few baking trays for the oven would be helpful rather than just having to use the shelves and grill pan. Lots of saucepans, colander, selection of sharp knives and plenty of cutlery and crockery. Washing up liquid and sponge, teatowel and cleaning cloth much appreciated along with a welcome tray of teabags, coffee sachets, sugar, few milk single portion pots, breakfast cereal packets and a bottle of water. Shower wasn’t that warm or powerful but bathroom clean and towels can be changed if requested when staying for a longer break. Miniature toiletries and soap helpful too. Bedroom was spacious with lots of room for storage and large built in wardrobe. Helpful and friendly staff a phonecall away if you require any additional help during your stay. There was ample parking but it is in a very high part of St Helier... Uplands is the clue...so you definitely need a car. While the walk down into town is pleasant , the walk back up home again is NOT!! The kitchen had some good equipment but I do think that in self catering apartments there should be some basic staples...coffee, tea sugar, salt pepper, cooking oil, kitchen roll and tin foil. These are things people don't want to have to put into luggage and bring back and forth, and in Northern Ireland these are found in every self catering apartment, so folks coming to you expect it as standard. A few teabags and a few sachets of coffee is insufficient, and longlife milk is nasty stuff. The apartments are not luxurious but they are very comfortable and to improve them further I suggest these basuc items be included in every kitchen. We phoned mid-week to get bin emptied and have more towels left, which I felt was a bit of a nuisance and would rather have not had to do. I think more regular servicing from housekeeping would be a major improvement. They only called once, on the morning of departure, to check if everything was ok, so that was a bit late! Maybe a door hanger to request service, tea towels, towels etc would allow better communication than having to phone over to one of the Morvan group hotels. The location was in a nice quiet area and we were able to walk into the centre of St Helier. It was very helpful being able to park our car at the property and there was a shop just around the corner. It was great being able to use the sister hotel’s pool and gym.
