The hotel is off of the main strip but accessible easily by train (train station is a 5-7 minute walk) and they also have a shuttle that you can reserve during the day. "This was literally the absolute worst hotel (really, it was more like a hostel) that I have stayed in either stateside or abroad. The property only allows you to communicate with them during two short periods daily around check-in and out. Their information indicates check in is not on the property. After needing to call for clarification, we were given a separate address that led us to the same location. There is no parking at the actual hotel because of construction. "The location could not have been better. We could leave our cars parked and walk around Saint Gervais easily for the tramway, restaurants, shopping, everything. Bruno gave us excellent tips to help our stay go smoothly especially when we drove to Chamonix. The apartment was large, clean, with lovely views of the mountains. "
