Welcome to Tangerine Dream! Spend a week at the beach in style in this beautifully and richly appointed beachfront property. A warm and inviting cottage, Tangerine Dream offers all of the comforts of home with a breathtaking beach view and easy beach access. As you enter into the 1st floor, you will find two bedrooms, one of which is a Beachfront master suite with King-sized bed. This rooms opens onto a private, furnished and covered deck with access to the ground level and beach boardwalk. You can enjoy spending the early morning here as the sun rises over the Gulf or you may choose to venture out into our palm garden for the fresh Gulf air. A private bathroom with walk in shower completes this master suite. The second bedroom is tastefully decorated, with a Queen bed and private bathroom with large, tiled shower. All of our bedrooms have the added convenience of a flat screen TV and ceiling fan for your comfort. The second floor is the shared living space and holds the best views in the house. You will find the kitchen well stocked and ready for you to prepare a meal of fresh, local seafood. A large breakfast bar with seating for 4 and granite countertops make this an easy gathering place before heading out for the day. A laundry area is also conveniently located just past the kitchen. Dinner is served with views of sparking Gulf waters at a table that can seat up to 6\. Just past the dining area is the living room with Queen sleeper sofa, large, flat screen TV and DVD/VHS combo. You may enjoy the Gulf views from the comfort of this space or on the covered beachfront deck. Both of our upper and lower decks have privacy screens to the East, to make the most of a relaxing stay with family and friends. A full bathroom with spacious tiled shower is located just off of the stairwell and is easily accessible to the living area and loft bedroom. The loft bedroom is located above the kitchen and overlooks the living area below. This is a great room for singles adults, children or teenagers, with 1 Queen bed and 1 Twin bed. Views of the Island are best seen from the bedroom window here. Our parking area is lined with brick pavers which makes coming and going an easy venture as you explore the area. Our home is within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and Lighthouse Park, so you can tour the area on foot or rent a bicycle and enjoy the miles of bike path available to visiting guests. A convenient pathway leads you from the roadside to the beach, as you pass thru a thoughtfully curated palm garden with benches and tiki hut, the perfect place to relax as dinner cooks on the park-style charcoal grill nearby. Our boardwalk makes the beach easily accessible, and our unique outdoor space will make our home easy to find when it's time to return for the evening. And don't forget to rinse the beach sand off in a convenient and private enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower, available just off of the lower deck. Definitely dark in the living room. I personally would’ve preferred a lighter look. The courtyard is fabulous. Extra blankets were brought to the house very soon after we asked for them. In general, the managers were very friendly and polite over the phone. Loved going to the Piggly Wiggly for groceries and Sugar Kingdom for sweets! BBQ from Beach Pit and sandwiches & curly fries from Mango Mike's were good. Bike riding around (half of the) island was easy and fun. Tangerine Dream was such a cozy cottage in the perfect location on St. George island for my family. Obviously this home is just steps from the beach but also is walking distance to most stores, restaurants and a playground! The ocean was lovely, not crowded at all on the beach. We saw dolphins every day and a beautiful full moon every night. The local fresh fish trucks were great. Reviewer Comments: We wanted a relaxing beachfront getaway that was within walking distance of the main spots on St George and that is exactly what we got. I had preordered a golf cart but it really wasn’t necessary. The Piggly Wiggly, the pizzeria, the ice cream shop, and the park were all within 0.3miles. My husband loved fishing on the beach everyday and my son loved chasing crabs at night. The back porch had the best views and breeze! The louvered decks are a nice touch as well as the large patio. Interior details are also well done with the tile floor, granite and the wood ceiling. We weren’t able to check in on time because cleaners were running late. The property management company was able to get ahold of them and rush the process. The beach gear credit though Vay-K is yet another bonus to renting through Forgotten Shores.
