FREE Beach Gear! Guests of this home will enjoy a complimentary beach gear credit toward items such as bicycles, kayaks, beach umbrellas and more! Welcome to Island Sand Dollar! A 3BR/2BA cozy, one-level beach cottage that sleeps up to 9 total guests, Island Sand Dollar is updated and offers 'Beachfront' views at 'Across the Street' pricing! In addition to the best Gulf views, the living room offers additional sleeping with a Queen size sleeper sofa and a large, flat screen TV and DVD player. Just beyond the living room is a well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, and laundry closet with full size washer/dryer. The West side Master bedroom has a comfortable King-sized bed with large, flat screen TV, Gulf views and a sliding door that opens onto the beachside sundeck. This bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with tiled shower. On the opposite end of the home are two more bedrooms and a full bathroom w/ combination tub/shower. The bunk bedroom has a twin-over-full bunkbed and the Queen bedroom has a TV, Gulf views and a sliding door that opens onto the sundeck. The beachside sundeck is a great place to take in the Gulf view during the day and to count the endless stars at night. After a day at the beach, rinse off in the hot/cold enclosed outdoor shower and settle into the shaded lounge area underneath the house with lazy hammock and additional seating, a great place to get out of the sun but still enjoy the Gulf breeze. Beach access is directly across the street via a sandy beach path. Less than a 20 second walk finds your toes in the sand! If surf fishing, be sure to bring your catch back for grilling. We have a fish cleaning sink w/ hose and park-style charcoal grill for your convenience. Sorry, we no longer allow pets. We loved sitting on the newly re-decked porch to watch the sun set and the convenient beach access trail just across the street from the driveway. The kitchen is so well stocked, we were surprised. Despite the weather, I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday stay on the island--my favorite place to be! (And this house is next door to the one I regularly rented and leased from a friend for many years. I love the location. The shower head in the master bathroom was wonderful and therapeutic to my back and neck. I loved the decor and openness of the living area. A couple suggestions: Since the view is restricted by houses and vegetation, pruning the tops of the shrub next to the palm (beautifully kept) would help. It was very comfortable and well-appointed for our party of 4\. The location is fantastic, just a quick walk to the beach. Communication was also very good. We look forward to another visit. Even though across the street, you could still see the water from the porch We had a great time on our first trip to St George Island. And we enjoyed our stay at Island Sand Dollar very much. The House was very nice and accommodating for our family. We loved being able to watch the dolphins each morning and afternoon whether from the front porch or on the beach which was only steps away from the house. ##### Shanni W. Steps from the beach and ocean views when you wake up! The property was clean and was well stocked for a VRBO. I would stay here again and I would also recommend to others. May 30, 2017 #### Perfect size, perfect location, great value My family of 5 includes three young children. The house was perfect for our family size, and we loved the easy beach access! The kitchen was great, the beds and furniture were comfortable, and the hammock below the house was a huge hit. It felt so homey that my kids didn't want to leave! We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great house at a great value on St. George Island. ##### Josh W.
