Polished and sophisticated, this 3BR/2BA beach beauty indulges you in luxury and comfort with quick and easy access to the white sand beaches of St. George Island. Situated inside the gated community of the St. George Plantation, you will find yourself immersed in the beauty of the natural vegetation and lulled by the soft hues of this comfortable and inviting beach cottage. The first level houses the main living area with open kitchen, living and dining spaces and 3 large, sliding glass doors which open onto a spacious and furnished sundeck looking out toward sparkling Gulf waters. The living room offers 2 large sofas, inviting you to sink in and relax after a long day at the beach or to enjoy a movie with family on the 50’ TV w/ DVD player. A Bose stereo streams your choice of music and vaulted ceilings add to the airiness of the space. The dining table seats up to 8, with additional seating for 4 at the breakfast bar. A nearby writing desk is the perfect location to setup a laptop or to simply journal the days activities and beach memories….don’t forget to sign our guest book! Just beyond the dining area is a room dedicated to leisure and doubles as an excellent reading nook or game space….a comfortable spot for the kiddos to begin a board game as lunch or dinner is prepared nearby. The beautifully designed kitchen boasts granite countertops and a large, stainless steel sink. Upgraded appliances, a fully stocked kitchen and an open-shelving concept all combine to make an enjoyable cooking experience while a convenient wet bar adds to the ease of cocktail hour. Just past the main living area are 2 inviting master bedrooms each with large, walk-in closets, and Smart TVs. The first spacious Master suite offers a King-sized bed and private bathroom with separate vanity area. The second Master suite has a comfortable King-sized bed and bathroom that opens from either the bedroom or the hallway for added convenience, also with a separate vanity area. Both bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans for your comfort and have brand new mattresses September 2022. The top floor not only offers a 360 degree, panoramic view of the Gulf and lush vegetation, but is also an enjoyable space for children, teenagers or a small family. Two single beds, 1 double and a soft-to-the-touch single velvet futon allows for plenty of sleeping accommodations while a game table and flat screen TV w/ DVD player can occupy the senses as nightfall approaches. For further convenience, you will find a hot/cold, enclosed outdoor shower and fish cleaning table in the covered carport. Under-house parking is available for up to 2 vehicles with an oversized parking area on the north side of the .5 acre property for boats or additional vehicles. A full size washer and dryer can be found in the ground-level storage room. The community beach boardwalk is easily accessible, just a few steps down the residential street and The Plantation Clubhouse is just a short stroll from our home (only 1 street over!). This amazing state-of-the-art Clubhouse offers amenities that include a fitness center, tennis court and Olympic-sized community POOL, all available to our guests. Right across the street from the beach and a board rock just a couple doors down to make it easy to get to the beach. The pool was only about four houses away and it was very nice and also had water aerobics which was really fun. We rented bikes and rode all over the place. Love how the plantation continues the bike paths all throughout the plantation. We rode the bikes every day. The house was very well appointed very cozy and it was perfect for rainy afternoons doing puzzles watching movies. The bedrooms were huge. Clean and well maintained. I don't say that lightly because I was a hotel manager for 30+ years and rarely does a rental meet my standards, but this one did. There were only two in our party and we each enjoyed a separate bedroom and bathroom. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the home, so plenty of privacy. We did not use the upstairs, but did see how that would be great for a family (though anyone sleeping upstairs would have to use one of the downstairs bathrooms, which are attached to the bedroom areas). The color scheme of white/neutral decor is very brave for a rental! As adults we loved it. We also appreciated that the house is tucked away from the road, and surrounded by trees. It had all of the kitchen necessities, was clean, and nicely furnished. The king bed was way to soft for both of us, and we returned home with backaches. The location is walking distance from beach and about 1 block from the clubhouse and pool. The area is very nice and much less crowded than places like Rosemary beach and Seaside. ##### Gary F. If you can’t be on the beach, it’s hard to beat the location of this property. You can see the waves from the house and it is a very short walk (easily less than 5 minutes) to the beach and pool, making trips to and from for snacks and bathroom breaks a breeze. The house seems to have been recently updated and we loved the open kitchen/dining/living areas. The two dining areas were great- we used one for eating and the other for puzzles! One thing to note- the upstairs bedroom is a loft style and it does not have a door on it. We had planned to have our 6 month old twins sleep up there, but because we couldn’t shut a door to the space we knew sound was going to be an issue. We rearranged sleeping arrangements and it wasn’t a big deal, but something future guests may want to take into account. Would be a great room for older children though! The only negative we found was the cleanliness. It appeared that the housekeeping crew may have done a rush job. When we arrived, there was a bottle of cleaner left out and a wet rag under the coffee table. The floors were swept, but they did not seem to have been mopped. Our feet turned black very quickly after walking around barefoot. The master shower curtain liner could also use replacing/cleaning. It was a a bit slimy with red algae and had the starts of mold popping up. All in all, we would stay here again and recommend to others. ##### Laurie H. ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Maura B. 7 oct. 2020 Points forts : Propreté #### Relaxing home to ride out a hurricane Unfortunately our trip was poorly timed and majority of the week we were stuck in doors due to a hurricane. Thankfully the house was exactly as pictured and was a cozy place to hunker down and relax. The location is amazing and we loved The Plantation and local beach when we had a chance to get out an enjoy it - we'll definitely be back! ##### Maura B. ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Annie C., Atlanta, Georgia 5 août 2020 Points forts : Propreté #### At Last - A Beach House with Style on SGI! We’ve been coming to SGI for years, and At Last is the most well designed house we’ve stayed in - not to mention functional and very clean! We typically stay on the beach, but couldn’t pass up this house with it’s perfect décor and beachy vibe. The beach access is very close, and we survived walking back and forth with two young kids. The loft upstairs is fantastic for kids, the downstairs bedrooms are very large, and the main living area was fantastically decorated and perfectly sized for our family. The deck outside is comfortable early in the AM for coffee and in the PM for dinners, and you have a glimpse of the ocean. The only cons were that the bathrooms are showing their age and are pretty dingy, and that the washer/dryer is located outside under the house. That being said, the rest of this adorable house made up for those two things and we’d definitely be thrilled to stay here again. ##### Annie C.
