The B&B is beautiful and the upstairs rooms have an amazing view of the plantation across a little frog filled pond. The property manager was so sweet and helpful and she’s bringing breakfast to us in our room tomorrow. The National anthem plays at 6 pm sharp and was especially nice as we are staying on Memorial Day. The bed is very comfortable and the ac will freeze you out! The black out curtains and satellite tv are nice bonuses.

It was a lovely stay. The tour of the house ( either guided or on your own) was well done, especially as it was augmented with historical photos that helped with the visualization. Breakfast was served with a view of the house and lake. Would definitely stay here again. Such nice people and relaxing vibe.

Perfect Getaway!
It was my wife and I’s 5th Anniversary, and we wanted to sneak away for the night and get out the norm! Pictures do this place no justice. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Its location out in the country by itself is so peaceful. My wife and I were blown away by the owners and how down to earth they are. We watched them sit outside with a couple all afternoon chatting. Hey there early and on time and engorge relaxation! Rooms are clean and comfy! Breakfast is fresh and not a buffet style. Definitely recommend you staying! We will be back!

The mansion is one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen, totally restored from a 1960 fire. The B&B is separate from the mansion, but we had a wonderful clean and well appointed room. We were however, surprised that it was about 20 minutes from center town.

A beautiful property with gorgeous views of the mansion. Quiet and serene. The hosts are remarkably friendly & engaging. One note: the signage on the main highway to turn onto road leading to the plantation is almost totally unreadable. We got lost getting there. Overall, a gorgeous place with exceptional hosts!

Absolutely amazing! It was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and now my wife and I have both said we will only stay at them from now on. Greenwood is great. The breakfast was great. The owners and staff are great. Truly beautiful and immaculate property and cannot wait to stay here again.

River Town Tour
We had an amazing time at Greenwood Plantation. The owner Julie and Hal made us feel welcomed and encouraged us explore the grounds. A tour of the house is included with your stay. They are a wealth of knowledge on the history of the Plantation and the prior owners.

A Bit of Heaven on Earth
A truly amazing experience in a breathtaking setting. Our hosts, Julie and Hal, treated like ‘old friends’ in sharing stories and introducing us to their plantation home. The mansion harkens back to antebellum times and the adjacent accommodations were impeccably clean, well-appointed, quiet and comfortable. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience to be had at a very reasonable price. No one will be disappointed!

Incredibly beautiful property that is several miles outside small town St. Francisville. On the extensive ground are many oak trees. And I will not be surprised if Greenwood has the most oak trees of all the plantations in Louisiana.

The B & B is across the pond from the mansion. The view is gorgeous! We loved walking around the grounds through the massive oak trees and enjoying the view from the porch rockers. Very friendly and hospitable host and staff. We'll be back!

The serene beauty of this plantation home and land around it made you feel like you stepped back in time. The beautiful oaks covered in moss and the perfectly timeless home that reflected off the pond were breathtaking. The owners, Hal & Julie, were welcoming. Julie even served you a delicious breakfast each morning. If you want to get away from it all, this is the perfect place for relaxing.
