"We had an amazing time at this property! Cliff is very responsive and a great host. The kids loved being able to “stay in the past” but have modern day amenities (I.e. A/C, and running water!). Staying here created an immersive experience added on when not in Colonial Williamsburg. We would definitely return. "

It’s a short drive to get to most of the sites and attractions and it is very nearby several really great restaurants and coffee shops! Mary was awesome and very hospitable. Great communication when a few technical problems arose before we got there but she was there working hard to make sure it was handled before we checked in! Great time!"

"This secluded hideaway cabin is obviously a home with years of accumulation of entertainment and home away from home necessities. Despite its age, it was incredibly clean. If vacationing in the Williamsburg area, the ferry is fun and adds to the “family entertainment”. Although the commute is a hike, the home feeling rather than commercial hotel is absolutely worth the trade off. The hostess was available to respond to any questions. "We stayed 3 nights for bike riding on the Virginia-Capital Trail. The location is almost mid-way between Richmond and Williamsburg, directly across from the trail on the John Tyler Memorial Hwy. The amenities were just right: a good sleep, hot shower, comfortable living room for reading or TV. The kitchen/living room makes eating-in easy, but there are also local eateries that provide good, classical food. If you’re into bike riding, this mid-way location will allow you to cover a lot of ground...

"This cottage is a gem! The hosts are accessible, quick to reply to any questions. Having beach chairs, kayaks and the paddle board on the beach was very convenient. Searching for the perfect sea shell was fun. We loved taking the ferry over to Jamestown/Williamsburg, it is very easy to navigate. It is hard to leave this little slice of paradise. Thank you to our wonderful hosts! "

"Lovely home right on the James River. Our family saw bald eagles, herons, osprey and even a dolphin in the water. Binoculars provided were great to have to see all the surrounding wildlife. Conveniently located close to the ferry to go to Jamestown and Williamsburg."
