But the room smelled quite musky and the AC was changed (turned warmer) while we were out of the room as well as the garbage being cleaned out without us approving for serviceOverall the stay was fine, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. « I like led that it was an eco hotel with nice sheets and comforter with nice view from the window. Helpful to have fridge in the room and it was kind to have ice waiting for us when we checked in. Not sure why ceiling looks like plywood and there is often not a person at the front desk, but those were minor issues. Conveniently located. »

« Don Q was a disappointment. Checking was fine with a decent - if dated - lobby area. There’s a fun seating area around a round fireplace where you can sit in old barber chairs.
The sleeping room was quite large but oh-so-dated & boring. Colors: black & grey carpet, beige & brown bedding, beige & white walls, & large walls with NOTHING on them. « Overall maintenance: This property has really gotten run down. Bathrooms have stained fixtures, poor water pressure for showers.
The pool area: Hot tub was broken and not clean, pool was dirty as well.
Breakfast was good. Linens were clean.
But overall, with so many people going to House on the Rock this hotel should be updated, cleaned up and ready for happy customers. Very disappointed with how run down it has become. »
