"The pictures cannot capture the peace and serenity that this cabin has! It was clean, quiet, beautiful, relaxing and so much more than we expected. Tom and family made us feel so comfortable and welcomed during our stay. We definitely bought some delicious goodies at the store and bakery nearby. We even got to feed the chickens and bonus turkey! This is definitely the place to go for a relaxing vacation and we plan on coming back."

"Great property! While there are other cabins on the property they are far enough away from each other so you have total privacy. Enjoyed sitting on the back deck and just enjoying the surroundings. "First I was surprised there was no wifi. But my daughter had wifi from her work that she brought so that worked. Couldn’t find a trash can in the kitchen. Text and called but no response. Then it was so dark in there. Not even a lightbulb in the nightstand lights. Even the bedrooms were dark. Plus there was a light over the bathroom sink. Could find a switch to make it come on. Cushions outside very worn and tattered. Other than that it was great. Nothing we couldn’t work around. Great location."

"Great, quaint cabin, that is well maintained and tastefully appointed. Setting on the covered porch looking out over the trees and pasture made me feel like I was 1000 miles from anywhere. The hobby farm next door was really cool. There were all kinds of animals on the property, many roaming free. I even saw a skulk of foxes as I pulled into the property. A quick 8 minute drive and you were in Carbondale. Very cool."

"I would definitely recommend this cabin for all events and all gatherings it's cozy, beautiful property, clean and I felt like home... we came Illinois to visit our grandkids we brought them to the property they had a great time we were able to go see Giant City Park we had a wonderful time 10 out of 10 five stars will be staying again next time."
