Excellent place to stay. Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Enjoy the best views from upstairs balconies. Breakfasts are amazing. Private patio in the back

I had a great stay! The hotel was very clean and in a fantastic location, making it easy to get around. The staff were incredibly helpful, and everyone in the restaurant was especially lovely and welcoming. It was also great to have the option of on-site parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was fine. Staff very accomodating and always helpful

Beautiful property in a quaint little town, run by a lovely couple! He is a chef and they also run the pub up the road. Delicious food at the pub and also for our included breakfast. We even sat in the library after dinner and were offered a glass of port. Just a delightful stay!

We arrived hungry at 8:30 and got a wonderful meal and comfortable room. Equally delicious breakfast sent us on our way - wish the rest of the day had gone as well!

Wonderful staff who were very accommodating. We got a free upgrade and enjoyed the view of the sea. We got room service and were served generous portions. Breakfast was delicious! Absolutely would stay here again if I was in the area.

We had a stellar stay at Downham Hall. It was really quite lovely, and exactly the British experience that we were looking for. Fantastic staff, and a very picturesque location. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet countryside stay. Thank you. Aaron & Stacey

Clean room and excellent staff. Pub and dining on site.

This was a beautiful small hotel, 8 rooms over a pub in the centre of town. Each room is different but mine (room 5) was amazing. Large bedroom and a spa line bathroom with a tub that would be perfect for wine and a bubble bath and a separate rainfall shower. Breakfast was included with a good sized menu. All the staff was friendly and helpful. There is no elevator, so you are carrying your luggage up and down a lot of stairs, but the staff always jump in to help. This property is owned by...

In walking distance of Southend Airport train station

A few short steps from everything you want to see and do. Great for a few days while visiting our daughter. A warm welcome and sincere service the entire time. A great find!

Very helpful and accommodating staff.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming boutique hotel nestled in a quaint village. The property perfectly blends historic character with beautifully modernized rooms that are stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully updated while still preserving the building's unique charm. One of the highlights of our visit was the food. Every meal was excellent, with fresh, well-prepared dishes and attentive service that made dining a real pleasure. The only drawback to be aware of is that several of the...

Our room was very comfortable, garden is beautiful, owner was terrific, breakfast was great. My only complaint is the Internet is very spotty.

Gabriella was very helpful and pleasant. Check in and out was easy and breakfast was delicious. I’m going to bring my wife back for a stay another time. Thank you.
