This non-smoking 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo on the second floor was beautifully renovated in 2014. All modern appliances/features and updated, luxurious furnishings make your stay comfortable and help you feel pampered. Wake to an amazing sunrise over the gulf every morning from your private balcony. The soothing sound of ocean waves lull you to sleep at night and beckon you to the beach during the day. The Tiki Condominium complex has 2 large pools that are heated during the winter and are surrounded by lush landscaping. The Tiki Condominium complex has no elevators, and only has three floors (Each flight has 14 steps). Over 750 square feet, this home, can accommodate a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 small children or 4 adults very comfortably). Sleep comfortably in a King size bed in the bedroom and a Queen size sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen and bath have beautiful granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with necessities and is equipped with blender, coffee maker and microwave. Wi-Fi, 2 flat screen TVs, DVD player, cable with HBO and ESPN channels, linens/bath towels, and a washer/dryer are all available in the Condo for your convenience. Water sports, beach chairs and umbrella rentals are available at the beach. Water activities include Schlitterbahn beach water park, dolphin watching, boogie boarding, snorkeling and scuba diving, surfing and sailboat rentals. For the fisherman in the family, bay fishing, deep sea fishing, fishing at the jetties/pier/surf and fly fishing are all available. Birding and nature center, and sea turtle, Inc are right across the street from the Tiki, while beach horseback riding are also popular island activities. Other activities include horseback riding and the Laguna Madre Nature Trail. Visit the historical Port Isabel or take a 30-minute drive to Brownsville to one of the top zoos in the country—The Gladys Porter Zoo. For golfers, golf is available at the South Padre Island Golf Club in Laguna Vista. The condition of the property was mostly great, one complaint is that there were what seemed to be bits of chocolate and chocolate cake and in the kitchen and living room floors and counter. Since we had our pup with us that could have been a situation if he had consumed it. Other than that the place was clean, I have anxiety with foreign bathrooms so it was nice to see the bathroom nicely cleaned.The condo smelled clean upon entering and remained smelling fresh for our stay.The bed on the other hand was not the most comfortable, it felt like it had seen better days and could do with a fresh mattress. When you lay on it you just sink in to the forms that other bodies have made over time (not great) It took us about 2 days before our bodies accepted that it had no other choice for rest plus we were tired from not sleeping and the beach activities. It’s a great location, and easy walking distance to the beach. The dehumidifier made the apartment so much more comfortable as it was humid during our visit. They have a washer/dryer as well. There is one rub - the Courtyard Marriott that is next to the building has a huge covered, open air pavilion/bar where a DJ pumps - who is set up almost right across from our balcony - pumps loud music incessantly. We got there Friday afternoon - music was playing and went till 10 pm. It started again on Saturday after lunch and went till 11 pm. Sunday it went to 9 pm. This would be great if you want to toddle home from a bar every night. This is a really nice condo, it truly is “best in class” and maybe the Courtyard Marriott doesn’t do that all year. The balcony, which faces Bar Louie, is only a stone throw away. The condo itself was clean and well kept, owner was great with communication and it was comfortable during the day. However, the bar noise from the DJ on Friday and Saturday night was vibrating through the walls and the balcony was not usable due to the noise. I'd recommend this for a young couple that is interested in the bar scene and doesn't mind the noise, but for a family with a young child, I would suggest looking at a different location. It's unfortunate that the condo owner has to have this right next door to their location. ##### Ryan R. Loved seeing the weekend fireworks show from the balcony. This unit is very nicely furnished and the kitchen has ample dish ware. We enjoyed our stay very much. ##### Phyllis T. We had everything we needed in the condo and absolutely loved the location. Short walk to the beach! This was the perfect place for us. The condo was so clean and comfortable and decorated so nicely.
