![If you're close to Uvita, check the tide schedule and get down to the beach! Humpback whales raise their young in Marino Bellena as the waters are shallow and warm and they feel safe. Coincidentally, at low tide, the beach forms a "whale's tail" shape, and it's stunning to see.

« Hotel Villa Drake is a lovely small family run hotel at the top of the small town. The family are very friendly and happy to help, they cooked us a fresh breakfast every morning, even when we needed it at 5:20am. They arranged tours for us and the father is also a taxi driver so took us to the airport at the end of our trip for a reasonable price. It is very easy to walk to shops, restaurants and the beach and we saw wildlife from our window everyday. There were even cappuchins playing on the...

« Clean modern room, best shower in Costa Rica at this pricepoint. Fast wifi with excellent coverage. No AC, but room is designed for that with large screens just below the ceiling and a big overhead fan. We stayed for two nights when day time temps were in the upper 80s on the beach, and we were very comfortable at altitude with the breezes from the ocean. The host, Lori, is a gem. The property is gorgeous and meticulously well kept. You will get full use of your rental car's 4x4 on the road to...

« My friend and I stayed here on this gorgeous mountaintop gorgeous location for 4 nights. The owners, Lori & Bobby were fantastic hosts welcoming us as we arrived and made us feel at home. Once there we upgraded to the main house with the pool and ocean view. Well worth it! You must have 4 wheel drive! « Nous avons passé une nuit dans ce B&B. Nous avons eu un accueil très convivial avec beaucoup d’attention, une présentation de l’hôtel, des informations sur les choses à voir. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons eu la chance de voir beaucoup d’oiseaux (aras, toucans…), des singes devant l’hôtel et même une maman paresseux avec son petit tout en haut d’un arbre. La plage est très proche de l’hôtel, c’est une très belle plage mais il faut faire attention aux courants. Le petit déjeuner nous a été servi...

"Maison bien équipée avec une vue splendide. Explications fournies par la propriétaire pour atteindre la maison très claires. Par contre route d'accès cahotique sans 4x4 et longue (5km). Une fois qu'on a atteint la maison, on n'a pas très envie de ressortir dîner."

"Très bon hôtel avec peu de chambres, un accès direct à une plage accessible à marée basse moyennant quelques efforts car 15 min à pied avec du dénivelé mais cela vaut le détour vous serez seul, cave à visiter au fond de la plage de sable noir avec pas mal de vagues. Un accès direct également à une super cascade dans la jungle à 5 min à pied, vous serez également seuls, super expérience. Dans l'hôtel, nous avons pu voir des toucans et des aras macao, entendu un puma également mais nous ne l'avons pas vu. Le logement Tinamu etait tres bien avec une très belle vue sur la queue de baleine. Il manque juste un frigo dans la chambre. Le petit déjeuner inclus etait copieux. Le prix du retaurant est par contre un peu cher. Happy hour au bar de 14 à 17h. Très belle vue aussi depuis le bar."

" Chalet avec une vue exceptionnelle, panoramique sur la mer et la forêt. Bel endroit avec possibilité de balade le long de la mer. Hébergement qui se mérite néanmoins une forte côte, suivie d'une série de marche pour y accéder. Des bagages sont heureusement déposés par l'hôtel dans la chambre. Immergé dans la forêt, on entend tous les bruits des animaux de jour et de nuit, ce qui est magnifique."

"Nous avons apprécié les services offerts par notre hôte notamment les transferts. Également le coin cuisine car les restaurants sont chers. J'aurais apprécié un jus de fruits du pays au petit déjeuner et un peu plus de variétés. Sinon tout était conforme au site sur internet. "

"Chambre propre et confortable. Déjeuner inclus et Bien. Belle piscine pour y relaxer comme Un resort. Par contre, malgré notre demande avant d’arriver nous avons eu une chambre au sous-sol, un peu triste mais très tranquille. Pas de fenêtre sur l’extérieur "
