Alston, the homeowner would like to pass along the following message: "I am so sorry that your stay was less than perfect for you. Unfortunately, the phone number we provide to contact the concierge was the office landline which does not receive texts. So she never received the text you sent. It’s best to call or email. I have asked her to address the problem of the bugs in the casita with the housekeeper. That is just not acceptable. My apologies. The “light” in the bedroom, is actually a tubular skylight, so I'm not sure how it could be made darker. I will have to look into that! Or maybe provide some eye masks for guests. As far as the bed is concerned: I do realize that it was on the firmer side. I had talked to quite a few people prior to purchasing a bed, and overwhelmingly was advised to go for firmer, as the majority of people tend to prefer them. However, after several complaints by guests, I have since purchased a 3" NovaForm mattress cover which makes the bed considerably softer. Unfortunately, it was only put on at the end of June. I am still learning as I go along. That is why your feedback is so appreciated. Again, I am sorry to hear of your disappointment, but I do hope that your stay in Sonoma was delightful in every other way." Best, the Evolve Team

The owner of this property, Monica, has asked us to pass along the following response: "Dear Amanda, I am so sorry to hear that your visit to my casita in Sonoma was less than perfect. The check-out policies that you were asked to perform are those that Evolve generally sets for every guest at their listings. They have more to do with larger properties that have full kitchens where it is essential that cleanliness be observed and maintained. Not so much in a small cottage like mine. So I have asked them to specifically take them off the check-out "Things to Do" list. I no longer ask my guests to strip the beds or take out the trash. Obviously, the cleaners, for which you pay a fee, will take care of these things. As far as the bed is concerned, I have purchased a 3" Novaform mattress topper which makes the bed considerably softer!
