Enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains while preparing dinner on the gas grill. A newly updated bathroom with walk-in double shower, a fully stocked kitchen and a washing machine and dryer in unit are a few of the interior upgrades. The Lichenhearth condos sit right next to the Snowmass Base Village. In the summer, the Elk Camp Gondola is a short walk away. This will whisk you up the the Lost Forrest where you can enjoy zip lining, ropes course, dining, alpine coaster, fishing and more. In the winter, you are just steps away from the Fanny Hill 6-pack chair lift, The Treehouse children's ski school and great shops and restaurants. Take the kiddos over in the morning for their lesson and pop back over to the condo to enjoy another cup of coffee before you hit the slopes! The condo is so convenient you can even ski back for lunch! In the evening you can saunter back to the condo after enjoying a wonderful dinner at one of Snowmass's many restaurants. Your stay at this condo will be a relaxing and enjoyable one. You will appreciate the great outdoor hot tub with a view of Snowmass Mountain, a popular amenity with all guests. Shops, restaurants, children's ski school and the gondola and chairlifts are just next door. Complimentary assigned covered parking for one car. Vehicle must be under 6' 8" in height. Additional cars must register with the parking department and purchase a parking pass, $15/day, for the nearby lots in the winter - parking is free in the summer. The Lichenhearth Condominiums are located right at the base of Snowmass Mountain. Hike, mountain bike or ski right down to the property at the end of the day. We really appreciated being able to do laundry in the units. The unit is good but only ski in ( NOT ski out - you have to walk out) Our welcoming checking was not very good. We told them we were arriving early and they let us drop bags at the office but the staff was minimal (" just happened to be there" ) We were able to check-in early but the office was a little distance from the unit. They could do more welcoming knowing that some guests will arrive early and need help getting in to unit. They did not text us to let us know the room was ready and had to call housekeeping and then move bags in open truck in the snow. They did get us in but no personal info or greeting was provided ( like where is ski locker, is there a hot tub ...) . A human being who is helpful rather than all text and online info . It would be a big improvement to have a dedicated shuttle from airport . Excellent layout, SUPER clean and had everything we needed! Access to a shuttle to Aspen was available, but we ended up driving as we were carrying lots of gear back and forth to a tournament there every day. The Kitchen was very well appointed, everything needed to cook an entire meal - including sharp knives (which are nearly always of poor quality in other rentals we have stayed at). Washer/dryer worked great and the shower was quite nice, including ample supplies of bath products and linens. The bed was comfy and there were several different pillow densities to chose from. Our only disappointment was that the pool and hot tub weren't available due to repairs, especially since that was the main reason why we picked this listing. However, we understand these things can't always be guaranteed and we appreciated that the management team notified us prior to arrival. They were very promptly responsive to all communications. They also offered a bit earlier check in & later check out when requested, which was nice. Overall, we would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Thank you! ##### Sarah R. A couple simple things would take it up a notch! It would be nice if they updated and enlarged the TV in the bedroom. And it would be nice if they had ice in the ice maker in the freezer. The skittles skycab was a quick walk, making it easy to get quick meals in both of the Snowmass Village locations. It was an easy drive to Aspen for the ballet and more dinner options. The condo was clean and well stocked. The one bedroom layout was perfect for us - one of us sleeps late :). There was quite a lot of furniture that filled up the main living space. Our boys did not mind sleeping on the pull out couch and they said the bed was fairly comfortable. The kitchen was sell stocked, plenty of pillows and sheets/blankets for the whole family and the in unit laundry was a huge plus, especially for a ski trip. although it was on the third floor, the elevator and stairs was easy enough to use and the ski locker room to store ski/boards on the bottom floor was a big plus. It is a bit of an older building and the hot tub was just ok, but the heated pool is plenty big. The wood burning fire place was a nice touch but they did not supply nearly enough fire wood and fire starters. We had to ask for more several times. The only negative things I would share was the lack of a dedicated shuttle for the complex as many other condo complexes do have their own dedicated shuttle for the owners/users. Also, they do not replenish toilet paper, so all you get is what it there. I thought that was really cheap and for a week for a family of four, they either should replenish same on demand or just keep it stocked for the week. I was shocked when they told us they would not bring any more for the price we paid. Overall, great place and perfect location near the base, but just the two issues I mentioned where the only negatives. ##### JEREMY Séjour de 7 nuits en mars 2024 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Cortney M. 28 mars 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### Great location, could use some updates Wonderful location, quickly on the slopes. And we had a wonderful time and would stay again. Host was responsive and easy to work with. Following are minor gripes. For the cost, I expected better maintenance and furnishings. Such easy fixes, for the cost of one night all these could be fixed. Some lights are out, and none of the ceiling lights match which is just sloppy and gives a low-rent feel, some LED some not, many not working. The stove top is clearly broken, left burners don't work and have clearly been broken for a while. They give enough fire starters for one, maybe 2 fires, despite a week's long stay.
