Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa
Underwhelming. This is a very ordinary hotel, despite the hot tubs, pool and spa. The decor is vile, all dull browns with turquoise. In the “Troutbeck” room there is a nasty trip hazard into the bathroom. A stubbed toe was annoying but a cracked skull would have been more so. Tip: if it’s not fixed ...

The Belsfield Hotel
Amazing hotel so beautiful right on the lake perfect. We got upgraded from a cosy double to a regular double which was lovely. Staff were very nice, breakfast was great, house keeping were great, they wrote a card to the birthday guest which was so lovely. Perfect location to walk into town and to ...

Hapimag Burnside Park Apartments
The room and staff were fine but we had no hot water for about 16 hours and had to use another apartment to shower which was not great.

Character Cottage with fabulous mountain views in the North Lakes District
Lovely cottage, idea base for walking in the Lakes. We stayed in February, with snow on the ground. The view of Blencathra is stunning and the heating in the cottage made us feel very cosy.
