"We really enjoyed our stay! It was a unique property with so much history in it. The views were incredible! The drive can be a little daunting for those of us not used to it but we made it fine in a couple of mid size suvs. "

"The owner met us and explained all we'd need to know about our stay. The room was small, but more than adequate, very clean. Wi-Fi worked well. It is an older remodeled home, so outlets for chargers were at a minimum, but plenty for 2 people for a night. Continental breakfast was good, lots of choices. Definitely would stay there again."

"This beautiful house sits right along the river in a private location. My wife and I, our two daughters, and their husbands had a wonderful time there. We enjoyed meals together at the dining table and on the screened deck. Our favorite thing was time spent laughing together each night around the firepit table. Location was quiet yet still only a few miles to a grocery store. "

"Another great stay at Marlinton Motor Inn. Our room had a view of the mountains. Room was clean."

"The only two downsides were a lack of WiFi and cell service (only available in the main house) and no GPS. They do send you very detailed directions, but if you are wholly unfamiliar with the area, it can be a little unsettling to be on winding roads outside of civilization with no cell service. I admittedly panicked (we drove for 12 straight hours overnight), and our friend was on the verge of declaring us missing because he couldn't get in touch with us. Obviously, we were totally fine and laughed about it later. The resort itself was beautiful, quiet, and the staff were very friendly. The cabins were cozy and warm, as we were there in February/March when it was cold, and the exterior bath house was also very warm. It was clean and there was plenty of hot water. I highly recommend if you're looking to escape into nature."

"A beautiful piece of heaven! I can't say enough about this place. The property was stunning, the cabin was perfect, and the owners were absolutely wonderful. A rolling creek, thunderstorms on the covered porch, bonfire under the stars, visits from wildlife, laughing at the battling hummingbirds, and hot tub soaks made for a weekend to remember. A hidden gem that we can't wait to get back to! Pat and Valerie have created a magical place and we are beyond blessed to have experienced it. "
