« This is a really nice property on acreage, so you have privacy and quiet which is really important to us. You just need to understand that it's just outside of Big Bay so any real dining choices will require you to go to Marquette. It was perfect for us since we tend to cook our meals and perfectly clean. »

« The cabin we stayed in was very cute and quaint. It was clean and the hosts were really nice and accommodating. They responded quickly to any questions we had and were open to any suggestions as they recently purchased the property. We love that they are pet friendly since we always travel with our dogs! The price was great and it's close enough to Hancock/Houghton so you have access to a lot of different places to eat or shop. We recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy stay! Thank you! »

« This listing is deceiving. The whole area was under a blizzard warning. They had roughly 3 days notice that this storm was coming, and it did. 14 inches of snow later I’m supposed to check in but the host forgot to make sure the rental was plowed. Her words “oh yeah I forgot that” when I called to find out what was going on. I was refunded that first day. Day two, and I didn’t get checked in until after 11am. So most of the day gone. « We had a great time at this cabin- everything was clean and as advertised! The hosts were really friendly and easy to communicate with. The proximity to the 41 made it easy to venture out to different parts of the U.P.! We’d definitely stay here again! »

« What a hidden gem! This cabin was the perfect size for our family of four and two large dogs. The views are STUNNING. We visited right before a blizzard hit and thoroughly enjoyed watching the weather roll in while we stayed warm and cozy by the wood stove. Great place to stay whether you want to unwind and hibernate, go snowmobiling and visit local towns, or both! »

But the shower and barhroom sink, both had hair in them. The table had sticky spots. And the outside of the frig was dirty. »

« My friends and I came away very pleased with our no-frills wilderness camping on Rod's property. He has the best view of the Huron Mtns I've seen, with a better perspective on the south faces than Pt Abbaye. They really lit up in the sun with peak color all over. We also loved his sweet dog Max, who quickly pivoted from intimidating bark at strangers to "dare you to try to take my stick" playfulness in seconds.I would go back in a heartbeat, but I did take off 1 star for listing accuracy only...
