This area of Tuscany is intensely beautiful and within easy reach of many of the most significant cultural sites in Italy ( Siena is 30 minutes away, Florence 100 minutes, Assisi 2 hours, Rome: two and half, Pisa 2 h, the wonderful Maremma sea one and half). It’s very close to some of the major wine centers of Italy and, indeed, the world. Montalcino is on our doorstep and MOntepulciano less than an hour’s journey. The area offers great opportunities for walking, riding, or cycling through spectacular, rolling countryside.
Cypress trees, rolling hills and village churches: the Tuscany of postcards and dreams (APT SIENA)A trip to the Crete Senesi has the flavour of a daydream with your feet placed firmly on the ground. The Crete Senesi is a voyage for the soul, an itinerary of discovery to be followed with the same spirit as the Grand Tour.
The area is not defined by piazzas, cathedrals or castles, but by nature, cypress trees, the smell of sheep’s-milk cheese pervading a little grocery, the relaxing warmth of spa waters, the mystical simplicity of a small Romanesque parish church.
The landscape of the Crete Senesi is a triumph of harmony, a timeless image, a picture that blends the forms of an Etruscan graffito and a sign of modern art. It is a harmony that gets inside you and has the power to bring your energies back into balance: emotions and sensations transform and dilate in the calm of space.
The Val d’Orcia is a treasure that offers natural beauty, iconic landscapes, charming historic hamlets and prized foods, such as fine red wines and truffe. It is one of our favorite regions in all of Tuscany because it has a bit of everything!
Situated in southern Tuscany, the Val d’Orcia offers postcard-perfect panoramas: soft hills that rise and fall as far as the eye can see, alternating colors of green fields, red terracotta rooftops and brown overturned clay depending on the season... don’t forget the majestic cypress trees! This is the landscape portrayed in paintings and postcards of Tuscany all over the world, a territory so precious that it is a UNESCO World Heritage. (

Tuscan Monumental Moments

Tuscany is a dreamscape. We were told it was beautiful, seen the beauty in the movies… But we never expected it to be a complete redesign of our mental stage. Everything is made to last hundreds of years, a departure from our construction principles in the States. We found ourselves, on several occasions standing in a structure that was built before Columbus set sail. The hillsides are painted with an impossibly beautiful brush and dotted masterfully by trees running the tops of hills (something we would never do in the States), like thoughts that give rise to stunning stone “farmhouses” that would be mansions anywhere else. Amazed.

Tourism in the Italian countryside is different, more sustainable, because rich in biodiversity , the largest in Europe. Today specificity and peculiarities. It’s a tourism definitely original, that enriches the wonderful differences that offer the cultures of our countryside and of our territories. The farm is the antithesis, the opposite of mass tourism, all the same wherever you go. Encloses and enhances Italy increased and the "minor", always unique, full of flavor and unique knowledge, each of which contains the story of its territory and its traditions. In our campaigns we offer an experience of extraordinary tourism, and for this exclusive, allowing seize authenticity and uniqueness of our places, always different and always exceptional. "

Become the protagonist of your holiday, with cookery and wine classes, wine and oil tasting courses, and many more experiences you can do directly.
In our holiday farms, you can chose what to in the pool, or at the Spa, is just what you need to make it a real holiday, but at the same time you can dedicate some of your time to make a good experience and enrich your knowledge. And bring home with you a real, formative memory of your holiday.

This is what Tuscany look like!!
We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very friendly and even gave us a map of the local area, with highlighted towns to visit. We also had an olive oil tasting with their son and learned all about how it’s made and why it tastes different each year. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Tuscany
An absolutely beautiful place to stay in Tuscany. Very peaceful and quiet with views over the countryside that are stunning. Montalcino, Pienza and Muntepulciano are close and Siena is less than an hour drive. Silvana and Freddi were superb hosts and take great pride in what they've created. A must place to stay in Tuscany.

Exceeded all expectations
Our 5 night stay at Podere Cunina was exceptional. The property was an incomparable experience of a Tuscan Agritourissmo. The renovations on the property shows such a high level of craftsmanship, and the appointment of our apartment was spot on. The beds, the linens, the towels, bathrooms, kitchen utensils, refrigerator, stove, all perfect. Each guest room contains a beautiful binder with information about the area, history, “house rules” helpful hints in 4 languages. The decor of each apartment is styled with interesting photos, artwork, and architectural pieces from the time of construction. I think there are roughly 8 apartments in total at Cunina. Each has its own outdoor space as well. While the venue was full each night of our stay, we never even sensed there were other guests. And an afternoon lounge by the pool was enhanced even more by the absolute cleanliness of the immediate area as well as its picturesque setting Our hostess Silvana went above and beyond to schedule a cooking class for us when our previously class was cancelled. Similarly she assisted in navigating the website to purchase Duomo tour in Siena. Always available to happily assist Our host Piergeorgio was a delightful wealth of information on history, wine, and the flora of the immediate landscape. He is responsible for the property’s beautiful greenery. He even assisted in finding some lemon verbena for a home brewed tea. Hope to return one day

Beautiful, peaceful, great location
We arrived from Siena and were stunned by the beauty of this property. Everything is so well maintained, thoughtfully planned and equipped. Perfectly positioned for sightseeing, I would recommend booking in for at least a week as a base. Gorgeous pool (unheated). Lots of apartments to choose from, ours had a washing machine. Stock up at the Co-op in the local town. No restaurant but everything you need to cook is in your apartment. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. Didn't want to leave 😍

Wonderful stay at Podere Cunina
My husband and I liked this property and the owners so much that we really hated to leave. The owners are warm and welcoming. They provided us with information about local things to do, where to buy groceries and find good restaurants, how to operate all the appliances, and really made us feel at home. Giorgio told us about the property and all the flowers, and Vanna gave us the history of Pisa, the next place were going to visit! The property itself is gorgeous, set in beautiful rolling Tuscan countryside. Our guidebook told us where to see the top Tuscan views, and we went to see a few, but then realized that we had even better views right from our apartment windows! We had such a wonderful time that we plan on returning again!

Our hosts were helpful and easy to communicate with. We arrived without some supplies and it was a Sunday so stores were closed and they brought us some supplies so we could make dinner and coffee. Very nice! The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The farmhouse is a few km out of the town but easy to get to and the town had a grocery store with everything you need and a number of restaurants. We traveled easily to other towns to explore and had lovely walks in the surrounding countryside. I would recommend this property!
