16th Century Hotel in Siena
The Antico Torre is a 16th century hotel, and has been kept in this style to fit into historic Siena. The room was comfortable, and there was lots of hot water. The view from our room was lovely over the rooftops, and ir was quiet bearing in mind the central location. Breakfast was acceptable although there wasn't a lot of choice, when compared to the other small hotels we had stayed in Tuscany. However bearing in mind the available space in the basement, they had done the best they could. There are 3 breakfast tables and 7 rooms, on one occasion we had to wait in reception for a table to become free. The rooms are accessed by flights of stone steps which means it would be impossible for an elderly person, or someone with mobility problems, as there is no lift or a male member of staff to carry any cases upstairs. Nb we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to get to our room, and it was a struggle with our cases even though we are able bodied. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Wi-Fi was provided however there was no password protection.

Such a nice stay
Great location and wonderful hospitality! Had to make this reservation last minute because our other hotel canceled our stay and this placed saved our trip! Not to mention is so charming and centrally located.

Quirky hotel
The lady on reception was very helpful and seemed to work very hard. This is a small hotel with small rooms and small bathrooms. It is nicely decorated with old features (beams in ceiling) but modern touches. Breakfast was basic but sufficient in a small room in the basement. Lovely landscape painted on the wall. Hotel is well located for everything and quiet. Cons: hard bed and no fridge or kettle. There is no lift in this hotel however this wasn't an issue for us.

Very basic, shower so small that elbows hit both sides when washing hair. Great to be in the historical area. Fine if you just need a place to crash.

Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, great view on the beautiful city of Siena, delicious breakfast - everything was extremely good about the hotel. I absolutely recommend it.

Quirky hotel close to the centre of Siena
This is a hotel with character! This review may sound quite negative, but actually we really liked the place - I just don't think it would suit everyone. We arrived by taxi, which is just as well because I'm not sure we would have found it by ourselves. The signage is quite discrete. Our initial welcome was a bit lacking due to the fact the lady on reception didn't speak much English. However, every other time we passed through reception we met with someone who, although her English was also limited, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. And she sorted out a taxi for us at the end of our stay. There is no lift and the stairwell was quite small up to the third floor - this is not a hotel for someone with mobility issues. The bedroom was not huge but ideal for a short stay. It was incredibly clean and tidy. The bathroom is very narrow but well equipped (including with lovely linen towels). The bed was very comfy and we both slept very well. Breakfast is limited but perfectly adequate. It's well within walking distance of centre of town and all the tourist sites. If you want a base for tourism, this is an ideal place to stay.

Close to all Must-see Sights
Wonderful stay in this quirky hotel. I was given the top floor room. Note that this hotel is an old tower (hence the name - Antica Torre), so there are a number of narrow stairs and no elevator or lift. For me, this is fine because I'm fairly young (40) and nimble. But the view from my room was fantastic.

We where greeted by someone asleep on a couch,given keys and told,that way,five floors no lift,not good when you have suitcases,breakfast was in a sort of damp smelling underground dungeon,for the money you can do better.

For the adventurist, this hotel is unique
We had the top floor room. A bit of a climb, 67 stairs and somewhat scary to climb, but very charming. So if you can't climb that many stairs be sure to ask for a lower room, but if you can it is worth the climb for the view. Hotel is located for easy walk around old town, but far enough off the path to not have to suffer for street noise, very quiet. Small but charming.

The welcome we got was very nice. The bed was very hard. The breakfast was quite nice. I liked having Twinings tea in a pot. The bathroom was quite small but adequate. The room decoration was lovely. It was simple with a nice design on the wall by the head board. There was air conditioning and a T.V. and internet connection.

Great hotel in Siena
This was a gem of a place - we had an incredible view from our top floor room (no elevator, but worth the walk)...we needed to burn the calories given all that we ate! The owner was very friendly. Only negative was that even though the rooms are no smoking - people smoke in the lobby and if drifts through this very tiny hotel...and is pretty gross. The breakfast room in the basement would be cute even though it is very tiny - except for the smell of smoke. Our room was immaculate with a large open window with a truly spectacular view of Tuscany. The hotel was very close to the main piazza (il campo). The entire town is very lovely.

Costruito su un palazzo del 1300, gradevole negli arredi, letto comodo. La stanza è piccola e funzionale ma avrebbe bisogno di ristrutturazione soprattutto il bagno. Molto pulito. La colazione è adeguata. Gestione molto familiare, soprattutto alla reception, la titolare è persona gentile.

Das Hotel liegt in der Altstadt von Siena (deshalb leider keine Parkplätze). Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in Laufweite. Die Einrichtung ist, wie der Name andeutet, allerdings auch 'antik'. Das Personal ist freundlich & zuvorkommend.

We were supposed to book a night with check-in the same day but accidentally booked it the week after... Since the reservation was non-refundable so it could have become a headache but luckily Antica Torre allowed us to come the same day without any additional costs. The lovely lady at the front desk (possibly the owner?) apologized for not having a bigger room available due to high occupancy but we were happy just to get a room that evening! We checked in to the characteristic hotel early evening on Saturday. After freshening up we asked for a dinner recommendation and received a map with several options within walking distance. We ended up at Antica Trattoria Papei and must say that the food and wine was world-class! We only stayed for one night and before checking out we were treated to a simple but good breakfast. 5 out of 5!

Kleine Zimmer, aber schön,so muss es in Siena sein. Bad rustikal, wir vermutlich nicht jeden gefallen. Hatten kein Frühstück dabei. Parken ist nur außerhalb der Stadtmauern erlaubt, wir haben sogar kostenfreien Parkplatz erwischt, unweit des Römischen Tores.

Piccolo Hotel situato in centro storico, in posizione perfetta per visitare Siena. Ottimo il servizio di accoglienza e la gentilezza del personale. Camera abbastanza piccola e un po' datata, così come il bagno, ma letto comodo. Ottimo prezzo.

Nicht zu empfehlen....
Das Zimmer war sehr klein umd es gab nur Bettlacken keine warmen Decken. Im ganzem Hotel hat es sehr schmudelig gerochen, das Morgenessen war im Keller, es gab keon frisches Brot, war teilweise schon hart.....
