There are two Somadevi Residences-- sort of back to back. This one is the"Boutique." Acouple of years older (not old) and cheaper. Cool. Nice pool. Very nice people. Short walk to main and night markets---closer than most hotels tourists may stay at. Bring dollars to Cambodia. Accepted everywhere, not Euros. May get change in Riels. Okay. .

Best hotel in Siem Reap by far
I am.so happy i chose this hotel. Great location and quite too which always helps. Staff are fantastic and always willing to help out or answer any questions i had. Rooms were very well kept and always cleaned thoroughly everyday. Swimming pool was amazing and si relaxing. Breakfast was a great start to the day and everything about this hotel made my stay memorable. I liked it so much i booked again for 10 nights over Khmer new year. Definitely book this hotel if you are in siem reap you will not be disappointed

Good, large clean rooms with comfortable bed. Good facilities with excellent coffee shop and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Close to shops and restaurants but wished I had found the made in Cambodia market sooner

Fantastic location in Siem Reap, just a walk to all the main sights. The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful...they arranged a couple of great tours for us. The pool is great after a long day out and the room was clean and spacious. Highly recommended if you're in Siem reap.

First Trip to Cambodia
We had a great time at Somadevi! Location was great for what we wanted to see and do. It wasn’t a far walk to the markets, restaurants, and the Grasshopper Tour company that we had a bike tour with for Angkor Wat Temple. Breakfast was delicious! Loved the rice porridge and guava juice. Would definitely stay here again.

Located in the charming Old French Quarter near the Royal Resudence, the Somidevi Resort delivers comfort, grace and luxury at an unparalleled value. Arrange a transfer from the airport, book a tour of Angkor Wat or the killing fields memorial, or just relax by your choice of a pristine endless pool or the charming koi pond. The facilities feel quite new, and the Wifi worked spectacularly well. Highly recommend!

The hotel workers were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and close enough to downtown where you can walk and far away enough from the hectic hustle and bustle. The breakfast surprised us. It ended up being really good! But if you go too early, you get eaten alive by mosquitos. We had a hiccup on our last night. There were guests outside partying until 3am, but when we called to inform the front desk, they quieter down right away.

The somedavi was an excellent hotel located near the center of Siemens Riep. It was within 5 minutes walk of the bars and restaurants near Pub St. All the staff were really helpful and organized a driver for us to go to Angkor Wat and the other temples. The hotel had a very good swimming pool.

Great stay!
We stayed for 4 nights and it was awesome! The room is very clean and comfy. The pool is nice too. I really like the modern design of the hotel. The location is good. It's like 10-15mins walk away from the pub street/market, which is acceptable. If you want to take tuk tuk, it costs 2 USD. The hotel is actually close to everything, yet it's very quite! The staffs are very helpful and polite. I love this hotel and would definitely come back again!

Very nice hotel in a very convenient location.
Staff is very accommodating. I wouldn't mind staying there again and would even recommend to friends and family. I felt safe in the hotel even if it's in the middle of the town which makes it very convenient. There are multiple restaurants and shops around but at the same time it's in a quiet neighborhood. Breakfast is excellent! Staff is awesome!

The Big Smiles are always on their faces. Outstanding Services, giving me a VIP feeling. the rooms and facilities are clean. just dun open the balcony door at night,lots of insects n mosquitoes at night. breakfast Buffet is changed daily. Loved using their facilities and swimming pool. Lunch served there are amazing delicious, esp the Amok. walking distance to the night markets, streets around the hotel are quiet but safe and well lid. =) so glad i make a right choice.

Overall we are very satisfied with our stay in Somadevi Residence and will stay here again if we visit Angkor in the future. - Great hospitality from every staff in the hotel - Convenient location: 10-15 min walk to Pub Street 5min walk to Lucky Mall (where the biggest supermarket in Siem Reap locates) 15 min tuktuk to Angkor Wat 15 min car to airport - Nice food: Quite good buffet breakfast with menu changed daily; quite nice cook-to-order noodle and your selection of egg; Room service very delicious as well - In-room: Clean and spacious, Good Wifi, Strong A/C, Toilet with big bathtub and rainshower (stable hot water) , bed is big but slight hard - Facilities Nice salted water pool, Hotel premises is new, modern and clean - Tour Service Hotel can help to arranged tuktuk for Sunrise/Angkor trip; We are delighted to have Mr Seng driving us around for 2 days and he is a very nice man, always stays professional by driving safely, punctual and offer suggestion to us

From the airport pick up,arrival at the hotel to drop off at the airport i have nothing but praise for everybody involved,very friendly happy people,only to pleased to assist in anyway possible. The hotel is 1st class, everywhere is very clean.My large room with large comfortable bed was cleaned and restocked twice a day. Large assortment of food for the free breakfast with fresh eggs and bacon cooked to order. Very good evening meals and all at a fair price. Large pool, bar and lounge,restaurant and a cafe for snacks. Good central location. Day tours arranged if required. Wonderful people,Mr Sockravy, Mr Reaksa, Mr Vichet (Kong), Ms Lysela and many more. Should i visit Siem Reap again i would definitely stop here again ,and recommend to everybody.

Perfect stay, amazing staff.
Our second long stay (3weeks) at The Residence. The Staff are truly amazing, everyone greets you with a smile and a lovely Khmer style gesture, nothing is too much trouble. Attentive without being intrusive, perfect. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, it was over 40'C during our stay, so the super efficient A/C was essential. Bathrooms are great, complete with large bath and separate rainfall showers. Sheets and towels were changed regularly. Turn down service offered every night. Try the Spa for the invigorating massages. Plenty of choice for breakfast, both Asian and Western. Particularly liked the outdoor egg station for freshly cooked omelettes, scrambled eggs, bacon etc. The freshly cooked cakes and pastries were delicious. The various managers were always willing to help and advise for trips farther afield or to the temples. They went the extra mile to help us make the most of our stay. Walkable to Pub Street and the markets, but Tuk-Tuks are available for hire, $2 into town if you don't fancy the walk. Free airport pick up is included. For a relaxing, comfortable long or short stay in Siem Reap, we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Super clean hotel with impeccable service! Close to all the action, yet very quiet. The room was very clean and the pool area was huge and very modern. The breakfast was good! I highly recommend this hotel!!

Close to city centre and close to Angkor Temples
All of the hotel staffs were professional and very friendly! They ensured that we were comfortable with our sleep, food and trips. The hotel location is also very good, not too far to travel to the Angkor complex and walkable distance to pub street. The hotel also arranged tuktuk service to bring us to Angkor complex, and we got a very good driver, David. He helped us plan the trip in a way that we avoided tourist crowds and offered us with ice cool towels and bottled waters. As we did not get a guide, David was very helpful and animated in explaining some of the temples and myths! At night, after Angkor day trips, we had the in-room dining, and were impressed by the food! Though the price was a few dollars more than outside, the quality of food was great! Also, try out their awesome weekend seafood buffet, where you can dine under the cooling night weather with BBQ fresh prawns and meats. Overall, the Cambodian people we crossed paths with had left us with unforgettable memories!

Very nice property in Siem Reap
Solo trip to Siem Reap to see the temples. It was great stay at Somadevi. The airport pick-up was nice and the daily breakfast was a good mix of western and traditional dishes.

Somadevi Residences: lovely overall.
The rooms were new, clean, and nicely styled, but the balcony looked over a building site. There were also a few ants on our beds that we had to clear each night, but nothing to call the exterminators about. The front desk staff got our reservations confused and it seemed that the reservations department didn't communicate our requests to front desk staff so they tried to overcharge us even if the whole exchange is recorded via email. Lost in translation perhaps? The bath and shower was incredible, great amenities. Fantastic swimming pool. Great breakfast buffet too. Pros definitely outnumber cons.

Nice hotel with comfortable room. The room was very good IMO. Had blackout curtains to help with sleep. Hotel has plenty of security. Two elevators plus the option of using steps. Nice pool - you can swim laps but will need to avoid a time with more than a few people as the pool area itself is somewhat small. Room itself had rain shower, bathtub, and large sink. The bed was excellent. Housekeeping did a generally solid job. There is a large desk area for doing work (they could have a nicer chair to go with the great desk). For those staying longer, there is not shelving to store clothes - doesn't bother myself to stack clothes out in the open but I'm sure some might be turned off by that. Room has a good safe, deadbolt door. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel buffet. You could get eggs made to order and they had a variety of other breakfast foods available plus a salad area and break area. Service during breakfast was excellent IMO. And the dining area was nice and well laid out. Breakfast ran from 6:30-9:30am. There is a formal dining restaurant - it was actually a bit too formal. The evening we ate there the food was good. The hotel also has a small casual café - serving small meals and ice cream - vanilla ice cream was outstanding as was the service in the cafe. Generally, the staff was very good. We had one bad incident. It was resolved. At times the staff is too personal, especially if/when you ask for local non-tourist information.

Great location and service. Airport pickup was nice, unfortunately only one way (return to the airport is not included). The spa is very new and most advertised offerings are not available (no facials, no manicure or pedicure, ....). The massage was good though although not exactly what was advertised either. Breakfast ok. During peak hours it would take some time to get coffee. It would be simpler to add coffee pot for self service that to have an overwhelmed staff serving everybody.

快適に過ごせます。
とても快適に過ごせました。中庭にテラスがある部屋だったので静かで外の騒音が殆ど聞こえません。朝食も工夫されていて毎日が楽しみでした。帰りの航空機が夜便だったのでレイトチェックアウト(有料)をお願いしました。午前中に観光して戻ってシャワーを浴びてと、出発までゆったり滞在できたので体力に自信のない人にはこういう利用方法もありですね。
