Good value hotel
Large rooms, staffs were friendly and helpful. Breakfast were good. They also packed me a breakfast box when I wanted to watch the sunrise at Angkor. Two way free airport shuttle service was definitely a plus. Overall, I was happy with my stay.

Beware of higher tourist price !
The stay is comfortable with a pool. Price is good. But beware of the tuk tuk driver try to take you to tourist place . I believe they get commission to places. So if you don’t care about the higher price. Go for it. But you work hard for your money and make it worth it. Explore the city yourself. Price you ll get is less then half or more. The hotel is good for the location and price. I ll would stay here again Minus their tuk tuk driver.

This hotel is fifthy and it you dont like the room then the staff dont like you very rude would never recommend this hotel i was bad for two days more than likely from the dirt and dust and poor hygiene..

The location was very good. Walking distance to Pub Street and varies night markets. The pool towels were reused. We can feel the dampness.

Fun but not well run
Nice pool area. The staff were trying very hard but very poorly managed. Forgot to make room one day. Breakfast had variety but was not properly run. Room was not that clean. We got a great discount price so made the experience kind of fun but generally poor with really nice people trying hard.

Nice place to sleep after tours
I like this place. It was clean, wifi ok, comfortable bed, hot water, breakfast wasn't great but ok served buffet style so it wasn't kept filled and was cold. Asked for more bread took her 15 minutes to bring it to the table. They might have had to go out and get more I don't know. The location isn't that close to a lot of restaurants but a $2 tuk-tuk ride and you are in the middle of Pub street with LOTS of restaurants to chose from. Staff very friendly speak good English as most of the people there do in Siem Reap. I would stay there again.

Decent Stay in Tanei Villa - w/ a lot of Mosquitos
Our stay in Tanei overall was good, with just one drawback - too many mosquitos. The rest OK!

Superb premium hotel in the very heart of Siem Rea
If I am honest I was not sure what to expect before my arrival. The reviews are mixed. The entrance is a lovely tree lined walkway. This leads on to the reception area. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. My room was exactly what I was looking for clean and well air conditioned. Some mornings I woke early for some tours. The breakfast was everything I was looking for. The location is a major plus. Very much in the centre of the city. Tuk tuk not really required. I would definately use this hotel again.

The staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and staff constantly replenishing whenever running low. Considering the price we paid we have no complaints at all.

Recommended hotel with excellent location
The location of the hotel is great. It just 2-3 minute walking distance to the pub street and Angkor night market. The room are big and clean as it show in the website.Hotel staff are friendly and prepared the breakfast overnight for us when know we will go to see the sunrise of the next day early morning. Recommended for those plan travel to Cambodia for this budgeted hotel with great location.

Disappointing
hotel in ideal position for downtown Siem Reap. Unfortunately the hotel looks very tired and is need of updating. The bedding and towels were past there sell by date. The food and hygiene need addressing. This could be a very nice hotel if these issues are addressed.

nice place to relax after a busy day sightseeing
great location. the breakfast buffet offers a decent range. the pool is great. it's a nice place and I feel I got my monies worth. staff very helpful - Dos helped organise a trip to his home village which was where I wanted to go to visit the Stepping Stones school. that was great. room had great air con. bed was comfortable.. issues- shower needs some plumbers tape on the thread to stop a leak. room safe was locked (but I always carried my passport with me) otherwise very decent place.

Great location.
We stayed here upon referral from a friend and we're booked in over the Khmer New Year. The hotel was packed due to this but had little impact on our stay. The pool is only one pool, when it's full of kids you get wet sitting along the sides. The breakfast is pretty great each morning and happy hour was utilised on a daily basis. Pub street is less than 5 minute walk. Night market is about 2 blocks on the same road as the hotel. About 4-5 doors up on the same side of the street is a local laundry lady. $1 per kilo seems to be the standard rate.

Wonderful experience
Great hotel, central location, safe & walkable to shopping & restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean & comfortable. Good buffet breakfast to start the day. Restaurant food was great. Enjoyed helping out the English teacher at a local grade school just down the road. Tourists are encouraged to help teach the kids for an hour at the end of the school day. Very rewarding. Would definitely stay here again.

suberb!!
Tanei has been the best stay in our month and a half trip so far. The manager, the reception girl in the mornings, bar staff and even their tuktuk driver were very friendly and helpful. Free transfer from the airport. My girlfriend was sick the day we were leaving and had to stay and extra night.they offered to call a doctor and prepared soft food for her to eat. The pool is perfect after a day visiting Angkor. Sunrise is amazing, sunset not really worth it. Free coffee and tea all day. Very near the night market and pub street. Restaurant on site and room service. Travel arrangements available too. Clean rooms, comfy bed but a bit old mattress. Highly recommended!!! Thank you all the staff of Tanei Boutique for this great stay!!!

We had a superior twin room, which didn't feel very superior. We made reception aware of certain issues, which were rectified the day after. The pool was nice, although not too sure how the jacuzzi worked - it was never on when we were by the pool, plus it was the same water AS the pool, so it wasn't heated. Ordering food here was a joke, we ordered fish and chips and a club sandwhich, we waited almost 40 minutes and asked for it to be sent to our room as we had to get ready for a tour. Another day we ordered food at 3pm, we didn't need to leave until 5pm, the pizza took more than 1 hour. They warned us it would take 25 minutes, which we accepted, but when asked 1 hr later - they said they had to heat the oven up and would take a further 20 minutes to actually be ready! We didn't order food here anymore, although the food was actually really nice, we couldn't afford to rush our food if we were going out. Breakfast was good, a basic selection of bread, fruits, rice and veg. I didn't like the way the fruits / bread were left open, so that flies and ants could get into the food. And on 2 mornings I shared my bread with ants! If notified the night before - the staff get ready a packed bfast (3 bananas / 4 slices of bread + jam) which was nice to eat at sunrise at Angkor wat. Laundry service here was very prompt and a good price. Construction to another hotel was going on - so quite noisy during the day from 7am!! Location was good -5 minute walk into town.

Good value for money
The hotel is in a convenient location, 5 minutes walk from Pub Street. The staff are very responsive and keen to help. The main downside is that the wi-fi in the room is a bit slow (I was on the 2nd floor). The staff did however, allow me to use one of the rooms near the lobby for my Skype calls, where the wifi is better.

We had two rooms…one was great, one was not so great. But as we were not spending a lot of time in the rooms, it worked out OK. However, as we were longer staying guests (6 nights) we would have appreciated not being given an "inferior" room in the hotel.

Great big family room!
If you are looking for a hotel for a family, this is great. We had a king size bed and two large singles. The room was clean enough and there is a pool. The restaurant left something to be desired but you can't win them all :)

Friendly staff but watch their shower rooms
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful (I think most Cambodians are). The hotel is about a 5 minute walk down to the old markets on the river front. I just warn about their showers, they are wet rooms and the water sprays all over the room, including the toilet. As there was no bath mat supplied, on leaving the shower room with wet feet I slipped when leaving the room when I put my foot down into the bedroom, and landed backwards heavily and ended up breaking my toe. I have found this type of shower room in all the Cambodian hotels I have stayed in. Apart from my accident the hotel was acceptable.

great guesthouse, clean rooms and fanstatic staff
We loved our 7 day stay here. Rooms lovely, modern and very clean. Staff so sweet and friendly. Location is brilluant and close to everything. Free drop to airport was so appreciated. Its a gem of a place.

Overbooking
This hotel does overbooking!! We booked one night on Hotels.com and when we arrived, the room was not available, "problem in booking" as the man at reception said. He proposed to move in another hotel, but the room was dark and without window. We declined and by magic, they found an available room in their hotel. So we finally were able to stay one night in Tanei, but I think somebody else had to move to the other hotel.

Friendly Staff, Clean and Exotic
Pros: The staff are wonderful, friendly and welcoming. The room is clean, has everything we expected and is a great value for the money. And did I mention that the staff are wonderful? Cons: The travel desk did a hard sell for their tour package (which begins when their tuk tuk driver picks you up from the airport) on the first day of our stay.
