Solitude in the Cedars. This cozy, but spacious, mountain home is nestled on 10 quiet acres of wooded forest giving you an extremely private feel. Located next to Sierra Cedars and a 10-minute drive from Shaver Village, this 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath cabin accommodates 3 families (6 adults and 6 children) very comfortably. The Great room with it's soaring ceilings, wood floors, massive rock wall and wall of windows offers plenty of space to gather in front of the fire and the large dining table expands to seat up to 12 people. The Great room wraps into the nicely appointed kitchen with lots of counter space, seating for 4 at the bar and all your food prep necessities. The large master bedroom on the ground floor has a king bed and large private bath with oversized tub, separate shower and double sinks. Upstairs find bedroom 2 with a king bed and queen futon sofa, bedroom 3 with queen bed and door to the upstairs covered deck, the "bunkroom" with bunk beds and full sofa futon, plus a loft/game area with pull-out sofa. Outside a large sunny wood deck with grill and large family table opens to the surrounding forest for enjoying beautiful summer days and warm evenings, clear sky stargazing year-round, horseshoes, and s'mores by the fire pit. In winter, enjoy sledding, snow ball fights, building a snowman on site. The mudroom off the garage is perfect for storing lake time toys and snowy day gear. This home has year-round access off an unpaved private road. The road is plowed during winter, but a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended in winter.

Activities Nearby: Shaver Lake is 15 minutes away where you can enjoy Camp Edison. They offer a full marina, rentals and beach day use areas for summer fun. China Peak is 45 minutes up the road for a winter day of skiing/riding. Explore the Dinkey Creek area, visit the historic Mill Camp or the famous giant sequoias at McKinley Grove. Enjoy fishing, hiking, and the many OHV trails. For great history of the area visit the Museum of the Sierras located at Camp Edison.
