As water sources elsewhere dry up, animals congregate around the permanent water channels of the Okavango Delta, making them easier to spot. It's also the prime time for birdwatching, as many resident species are active, and migratory birds begin to arrive later in the season.Couples looking for a romantic and exclusive safari experience will find this time ideal. The lower water levels in the Delta allow for more land-based activities like game drives, in addition to the traditional mokoro (canoe) trips. Many lodges offer private guided tours, ensuring a personalised and intimate encounter with nature.Solo travellers seeking adventure and photography opportunities will also appreciate the dry season. The clear light is excellent for photography, and the abundance of wildlife provides ample subjects.
