Our room has foul smell from the drain. Initially, we thought it would go away. It remained for two days until we notified the front desk. The thermostat in the room was also not working. The front desk informed us that the room temperature is centrally controlled. That is crazy! Our room temperature was like 26 degree Celsius. However, staffs were great. They tried their best to serve us, but the facility is a disappointment. :-(

The rooms were spacious and the staff were friendly. The rooms themselves were extremely warm; you could not manage the room temperature independently.

good hotel with good location - fairly quiet. annoying that you could not adjust room temperature so it was too hot (not wanting to open the window for the noise from the street). cleaning staff excellent friendliness - reception staff average.

A bit over priced, but nice nonetheless
I always enjoy staying at this hotel, but bit. Other than that, this location is central to shopping, entertainment, and tourist attractions. Staff is very helpful and accommodating, too.

Front desk people not so friendly, not so helpful, rooms are average, we were there 1st week of november and some days it's still warm that you will need air conditioning. It's hard to make the room cool, which makes it hard to sleep.

I was very disappointed. The sofas were dirty and no amenities. The food area was minimal and staff was quite rude. I knew I had to pay for breakfast but staff was insistent on paying quickly. Basically told only me that they were closing in 20 minutes. Front desk staff upon arrival was cold and rude. Not appreciated after 21 hours of travel. Given the worst room by elevators with no extra toilet paper or laundry materials. I feel this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed.

Great Value, Great Location
It was a very nice stay. Next door to a temple and within walking distance of major palaces, museums, and Insadong. Great location! It is reasonably priced and has a nice breakfast bar. I was especially impressed with the allergy labeling of the food selections. That was the best I have seen anywhere. That is a great benefit for people with food allergies. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice and modestly priced
The Shilla Stay hotel and breakfast bar are a good value and the location is near Insadong and major palaces. There is lots to do within walking distance.

need more mirror
everything was good except for lack of mirror in the room. The bathroom had small mirror but other than that out room didnt have any mirror. we were three people in the room and struggle to get ready. other than that excellent hotel near everything. you can walk anywhere from here.

Great location. Easy to check in and out. The bathroom door was not properly sliding to close and open. Maintenance is required. The shower has a glass wall only covers half of the tub which made the floor wet every time we took a shower

This was a great place to stay to do tourist activities in Seoul - close to multiple subway lines and attractions, and a lot of options for food. Be warned however on two aspects: many of the restaurants in the immediate area cater to Seoul office workers, not tourists, and so do not have English menus. Also, this is probably not a great place for large groups or families but perfect for couples or solo travelers/friends, since the rooms are on the smaller side. It was a great place to stay and I’d recommend it to anybody looking for a convenient location in Seoul.
