"I visited summer during Bayreuth Festival, but the location and region are more catered for winter sports. Area is a bit quiet and there isn't much eating out or shopping around (except 2-3 restaurants and a single supermarket a town nearby), and 30-35 minutes from Bayreuth (and much cheaper to stay here than in Bayreuth during August when the Wagner events are going on). Services are good and staff is friendly. Otherwise what is available is fairly basic -- workable wifi internet but no air...
