The best area to stay in Sedo is the Old Town, particularly around Plaça Major and Carrer Major.

This historic core of Sedo is the most convenient and picturesque area. It's characterised by narrow, cobbled streets, traditional stone buildings, and a relaxed pace. Plaça Major is the central square, often bustling with locals and visitors, and features several cafes and local shops. Carrer Major, the main street, connects many of the town's key landmarks and leads directly to the church.

Couples will find the Old Town particularly appealing. Its quaint streets and historic architecture provide a romantic setting, and the numerous local restaurants offer authentic Catalan cuisine superb for evening meals. The ability to stroll hand-in-hand to local attractions like the Sedo Castle ruins, just a short walk up from the square, adds to its charm.

For families, the Old Town offers a pedestrian-friendly environment where children can explore safely. The proximity to local parks and the Sedo River, which is easily accessible from the town centre, provides opportunities for outdoor activities.

The best time to visit Sedo is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these months, the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, which is ideal for exploring the town and its surroundings. You'll find the popular beaches along the Costa Brava, like Platja Gran and Platja d'Aro, less crowded than in the peak summer months, making for a more relaxed experience. It's also a great time for hiking or cycling along the coastal paths, such as the Cami de Ronda, without the intense summer heat.

For those who enjoy a lively option and don't mind warmer weather, July and August offer the full summer experience with temperatures often exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. This is the peak season, so expect the beaches, restaurants, and attractions to be bustling. Many local festivals and events take place during this time, providing a deeper insight into Catalan culture.
