"The room was really cute. Everything was great except for the outside light stayed on and the curtains didn't stop the light from coming into the room, and I need a dark room in order to sleep. Otherwise, everything was great."
Entire Cabin at Woody Falls Trailhead in Cooke City
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in Cooke City, to see Yellowstone. We were able to see most of the Park, drive the Beartooth Highway, visit Cody, Wyoming and Yellowstone Hot Springs, for the pools. The town is small, without a lot of services, but we enjoyed being a little remote."
Colter's Cabin Yellowstone Getaway, Cooke City, MT
10/10 Excellent
"Colter's Cabin was a great place to stay in Cooke City in May 2026 for a family trip with five adults and two kids. This was the first of three locations for a Yellowstone/Grand Tetons trip for us. The location is very convenient; gorgeous views, noise was never an issue, and it was super quick to get into the park! The kitchen was fully equipped, and we had everything we needed to cook a couple of meals. The non-stick pans were in great condition for scrambled eggs lol! I've stayed at places with crummy cookware, but not here! Hot water never ran out, and internet was fast. The big TV was great to relax and watch a movie before bed. Now, Cooke City in May might be an issue for some. This is a little place, and mid-May is in between the snow season and summer. Not much is open other than the gas stations and maybe one burger place and a coffee shop. We actually like it like that, and we picked up most of our groceries from Bozeman and found anything else we needed at the local gas stations' convenience stores. The location was so good for getting into Lamar Valley early to do some hiking and wildlife watching (I saw a wolf!). Between Cooke City, Jackson, and West Yellowstone, this is the place I'd like to come back to the most, and I'd be glad to stay in Colter's Cabin again if I do!"
"Never mentioned in original post that we would be sharing the home with 2 other sets of guests in separate parts of the home. There were several repairs that need to be addressed in the home. The owners were very quick to respond and overall a good stay."
